I have to disagree here, Ak was one of our best forward tonight, he got a pass and he was good defensively out there tonight (+/-:+1 with 1A). He certainly did not get himself out of the lineup tonight, Lats might have.
He was OK at best ; sure he registered an assist but it was essentially a botched play where we got a good bounce... The rest of the night, he didn't do much ; except a couple of bad passes
Let's just say I was expecting more from a guy who's supposed to fight hard to hold on to a spot inthe line-up...
You guys are way too melodramatic, he carried the puck during the PP decently and made a few nice passes, he just looked beat after last nights game. He's almost 35 I believe, keeping up with young teams is tough.
Im only commenting on tonights game.. I think, like everyone, that Kovy has been great so far this season but tonight he clearly took the night off.. We could have easily lost this game, the Pens arent playing with much confidence at the moment, it would have been sad to lose this one.. I dont like the 2 games in 2 nights excuse, we havent been playing much hockey since the begin of the season, some teams have already played 12 games.. The Canes played 2 games in 2 nights as well and quite destroyed the Islanders tonight..
