any body else worth noting
Euh... Having Tikkanen ranked in the same group than Avery, Ott and Lapierre is downright ridiculous. Having him under than Tuck is pretty dumb, too.
Heck... Having Lapierre in the same group than Avery makes no sense at all, considering Lapierre is in the AHL and played a whole 45 games or so in the league. I really like Lapierre, but come on...
Doug Risebrough deserves to be right there with Tikkanen. Mario Tremblay too... Gary Dornhoefer too, if he fits the bill. Fiery Phil Watson goes right there too. Pepper Kid Randall too, and credits for being the first guy I can think of to play this role. Leo Labine is a better pick than anybody not named Tikkanen on your list.
Tony Leswick made a career out of harassing Rocket Richard (through checks, cheap-shots, and racial slurs). He was the LW on the Wings' dynasty's elite defensive line (along with Marty Pavelich and Glen Skov). Despite his small size (5'7", 160 lbs), Leswick was a boxer and would check and fight anybody. He had solid talent, too, as evidenced by his 27-goal season and an overtime, Cup-winning goal.
"The long lasting feud between [Richard and Leswick] lasted for years. Leswick knew how to get under Richard's skin. Richard, who had a short fuse to start with, would often blow up at Leswick and assaulted him. Often Leswick would take Richard's shot and write it off as "taking one for the team." Richard would be banished to the penalty box while the Rangers would go on the powerplay." -- Joe Pelletier
