Chelios/Behind the glory

I can't recall if this was on or I was imagining things.
Was this to air Sunday?
Will it air again?

Thanks

Just got done watching it. Not too bad although far too many commercials. More commercial time than show content.

Caught some of it...wasn't that great. It was interesting to learn about his family. The hockey side really did shed any new light on him. His life wasn't screwed up enough to make a really good Beyond the Glory like Mike Tyson or Michael Irvin. I suppose that's a good thing though.

That's what I noticed. I thought I was watching MTV or something with those 4 minute breaks. I got up and made an intricate sandwich during one of them and got back with time to spare.

It was pretty good, but I think they glossed over his play in the 2002 season when he was Norris runner-up and was one of the most valuable members of the team that year.

I liked it...

I can't wait to see if they ever do one on Steve Yzerman...can you imagine what that would be like?

You know, it's funny - the only two hockey players they've done and they're both Red Wings...go figure.

Yzerman is my hero but I have to honestly say a beyond the glory on his career would be pretty boring I think. He has such a low profile and doesn't say or do anything that would make for good material (in contrast to Cheli's threat against Bettman for example). Personally those are the reasons I like Steve but it doesn't make for sensational TV and good ratings. Other than his comeback from the knee injury there's not much drama. At least nothing that was public.

Both are American players too...well, Hull isn't really American. I don't think one about Yzerman would be "scandalous" enough for FOX. He's too good of a guy...he doesn't have any skeletons in his closet. If FOX would pick another player to cover, I think Lindros or Lemieux would have the most interesting stories. I hope they don't do one about Theo Fleury.

That's who I was thinking they would pick. Either Fleury or Eddie the Eagle, aka crazy Eddie. Probert is another player with a scandalous story but that may be too old-school.
