I will be surprised if this one lights up the scoreboard like the last one. It should be a physical game and I would think first team to 2 wins tonight.

Mason in net tonight.

“I don’t question Chris Mason,” Trotz said. “He has worked at his craft to become a consistent goaltender, and he has tremendous character. If you want to describe what hockey player’s intangibles should be – the competitiveness, the enthusiasm, the work ethic, all those things that make the substance of a player – he has all of those.

“… Even when I have pulled him or he hasn’t played the last two games, I believe he trusts that I don’t have any doubts about what he is capable of doing or doubts that he is our No. 1 goaltender. I think that’s important.”

Kind of surprised that Trotz came out this strong in support of Mason at this point, to be honest with you, with Trotz under the gun and all...

I know this game is not on FSN tonight, but will it be on center ice in the nashville area? It might be worth a trip to dave and busters.

I don't think it's being broadcast by either side. It's not on my Center Ice schedule.

I checked the guide this morning and it showed it as game 5 on comcast center ice (ch 775 I think). It listed an 8:30 central start time.

Seems like the Preds want to set the record for controlling the first ten minutes of the game and then looking up and see the other team winning 1-0. I expect the Flames to play more tight in the 2nd so we will see if the Preds can create anything.

Even worse than the Oilers' announcers, which is saying a lot.

Erat just doesn't seem to have the jump that he had last year.

Sorry to step in and criticize but the Preds don't deserve to score when your best offensive talent is sitting on the bench for the entire 5-3 pp

Brutal coaching to sit Radulov in that situation.

I agree. In fact, it seems that Dumont and Arnott really haven't done much since the first two games. I really thought the Preds would play better tonight than they have. But I have to give Kipper credit. He has been very good tonight. What little they have created he has been in position.

I think I'm going to go to bed after watching two lackluster periods of play....

Steve Stamkos here we come! 2008 draft cannot come soon enough...

Speaking of Arnott-Dumont, has there been any news regarding Sully in the last week or so? Last story I read he hadn't started skating yet because he didn't feel healthy enough (despite a positive MRI).

It's a character named Bubbles from a show called Trailer Park Boys.

Yes indeed. I would love to see the Preds play 60 minutes like they have the last 20. Mason has been solid, but Kipper has played even better.

Well, put this one to bed. Here is hoping for 60 minutes against the Canucks.

Good game... the score flatters us. The Preds played pretty darned well, all things considered... just gotta hope for better luck.

I think its time for deVries to be a healthy scratch. He single-handedly made the score look as bad as it did.

Too bad you can't get Trailer Park Boys in your area...it's a hoot, stupid but a hoot nontheless.
