GDT: Nashville Predators @ Chicago Blackhawks : 11-4-07 : 6pmCDT

****Don't forget, we have turned the clocks back today. If you missed it, you missed an extra hour of sleep! Now would be a good time to change them since it's really an hour earlier than you thought it was.

WHAT/WHEN
@
(6-7)-------(7-6)

TV: FSN - - - - Radio: 104.5

Predators take on the Blackhawks at 6pm CDT.

WHO:

WHERE:

United Center - Chicago

Nashville is 2-5 on the road. Chicago is 3-4 at home.

NHL preview (this will have to do since the Preds site does not want to accomodate my schedule and put up previews in a timely manner. Besides, they're all basically the same report.)
Quote:
"Now everyone is getting some confidence, and everyone is contributing instead of just a couple guys here and there," Nashville associate coach Brent Peterson said.
Blackhawks team preview
Quote:
Sharp is the first Chicago player to notch two short-handed tallies in one game since Steve Sullivan - currently injured with Nashville - did it on Jan. 26, 2001 versus Colorado.

Last game
Preds: Win 4-1 @ Edmonton (Legwand, Arnott, Bonk, Fiddler)
Blackhawks: Win 3-2 @ St.Louis (Sharp (2 SHG), Byfuglien )

Both teams are looking for their first 3 game win streak of the season.

Injuries
Nashville – Martin Gelinas (shoulder) is doubtful. Darcy Hordichuk (broken toe) is out. Shea Weber (knee) is out. Steve Sullivan (back) is out.
(the report Friday was that Gelinas might join the team on Sunday or Wednesday AND that Weber returned to the ice for the first time on Friday -yea!)
Chicago - Martin Havlat, David Koci, Andrei Zyuzin all listed on the IR.

Fourth day of November. New month, new results.

GO PREDS!!!!!

Will be another good test for us on the road, Chicago is obviously a much better team than years past. Hopefully we continue with another win.

We win, and we are right back to ground-zero. Give Mase the start, and lets shut it down boys!

I cant see it. Trotz tends to ride hot goalies like rented mules.

I expect Ellis.

I agree, I think he goes back to the HOT Ellis right now. Mase will have opportunities to get back on track, when Mr. Ellis cools down.

Well, Mason is in net and the Predators are up 2-0 early in the first. Good start...still a long way to go.

Wow, they hype on Kane and Toews is well deserved. They have schooled our D multiple times already this game. Rads seems to have gotten mad and upped the ante himself with an unbelievable series of plays at the end of the 2nd. It's been very entertaining. One bonehead pass by Mason but a pretty solid game thus far. We need to close this out in the 3rd and get him a W.

see mason is a good minder, just get him more than a goal and we can win.

i would do some GDTs but it seems as if the mojo monkey is with spank. so like baseball you don't mess with a streak. now lets see how we do against a really good team.

once again.....it is the evil empire.

who really should be moved since they are not selling out home games(17.5k/game) funny who would have thought the lions would be stealing the fan base?????

OH. NOOOO.
you didn't say anything...you didn't say anything...you didn't say anything...

Great job by Mason. He looked like every emotion in him was going to come out in that post game interview. You have to think he feels like a 1 ton weight was just lifted off him.

Wasn't Chicago's first goal a PPG? It's listed on the game summary right now as an ES goal. I mean we didn't intentionally play 3on5 for a minute right? Whatever, it's good for the PK stats if they don't change it.

Nice goal by Legwand. Just go to the net with the puck and take a shot.

Radulov was a one man shift. He kept control of the puck all through his spin-o-rama's and knockdowns, and still put it into the slot when he didn't have a shot. If Dumont had put that in right there, that would have just deflated Chicago right there. Nice save though by that Hawk player.

Radulov was the NHL's 3rd Star of the Night!

Back to .500 at 7-7. That's a great feeling.

Great job by the team tonight.

On an off-note, my apologies for being scarce. Its finals week in med-school. My brain has been taxed to its limit....I have little time to do anything but monitor the forums!

I call for your removal as a moderator. What kind of person puts studying for final exams in med-school ahead of moderating around here? A bad person I say! Down with Enoch!!!

Best of luck man.

Good to see the team get back to .500.

Now for two tough games in Detroit, and dare I say it, Columbus (haven't heard that before ).

Great sequence by Rads there. Glad to see he is comfortable again and the first line is pulling its weight. We come in to Wed. as the underdogs again, a role this team seems to enjoy. Hopefully they are not reading their own press clippings or these forums.
