And yeah, AO reminds me a bit of Bure. He's more physical than Bure ever was, but they're both the always dangerous with the puck / can score at any given moment type. They both make incredibly flashy plays of the solo effort variety, that leave your jaw in the dropped position.

I think AO, like Bure, can create more on his own whereas a pure sniper type like Kovalchuk is more reliant on his center.

I've seen Todd White pull off some pretty sweet passes recently, which coupled with his decent speed should make him a good match for Kovy. Only problem is he is very easy to knock off the puck, so they really have no choice but to use their speed at all times.

Well then...I guess Metropolit, Kapanen, and Holik are pretty good centers, eh?

Before this season the bolded comment wouldn't be that far fetched.

So, r u saying that last season Kovalchuk had good center that he was reliant on?

Yeah that's why Kovie's career has sucked so bad so far. We're just one decent center away from him finally showing some promise.

No. I'm saying it's silly to make a thread that mocks someone for saying something that is partially true. Kovy did have his best year with a top notch center feeding him, Kovy did have a drop off in production when said center was taken away from him and this is the first year since 03/04 that Kovy has consistently created his own offense.

How about you make a strong point about Kovalchuk play this season instead of ridiculating this Wing fan over here on the Thrashers board? Not all fans are able to keep tracks of teams, which they are not playing a lot (Re: Western Conference.)

A couple of weeks ago, I helped some Shark fans to clear up some misconspetions about Kovy.

If you have a problem with what someone says in another thread, handle it in that thread. Don't just copy the comment and start a thread on this board.
