We live in a world where everyone *****es non-stop, just accept it .

Anyway, the Rangers ARE playing a trap. Maybe not 100% of the time, but they are. Personally I'd like them to be more aggressive on the forecheck because I think it isn't nearly as exciting as it used to be.

Also to the 40 shots argument. The trap is based on the premise of neutral zone turnovers that go the other way for scoring chances. So if one team is trapping sucessfully, then techinically they should have a lot of shots.

In addition, if a team can retain puck control in the offensive zone (which the Rangers have been pretty good at this season) they can get even more shots on goal while never leaving the offensive zone.

Isles is a bigger rivalry and it isnt even close. Id say the rivalry with Philly is bigger than the Devils.

And yes, Isles fans tend to be pretty moronic.. you know, how they think Simon's not a cheapshot artist or how DP is in the same league as Henrik... stupid things like that.

Go back to your own board, where your opinions match the color of the kool aid.
Just curious, are you a rocket scientist?

When I saw the thread title... I thought to myself "I'm sure this is going to be civil and intelligent discussion."

I was incorrect.

Who would have thought?

How does Lemieux have anything to do with this??
How can a Devil fan complain about Avery when their team had Lemieux help them win to 2 Cups?Which player has the longer rap sheet?

How many threads on this board revolve around the Devils?Compare it to the number of threads and posts bashing the Rangers on your board. You can't see that?

This is what you said:

Just look at their boards. It's all about the Rangers.
Up to this year it is the case and it pisses me off, but what makes me chuckle is before this year it was quite the opposite for at least the previous four years, there was nary a thread about the Rangers in our forum and plenty about the Devils in here.

And you never had a problem when this was the case like you have a problem with it now. Where were you the previous four years?

I hate the Devils, but now that we have Gomez, my hate has down a few notches, as I couldn't stand him on that team. Once Brodeur is done, *Ahem next season ,they'll probably be behind the Isles. It's still Devils, then Isles for me though, but it's close.

My number one hate team is the Isles. I hate them more than any other team put together. I love the Rangers but I become a temporary fan of ANY team that plays the dam Isles.

Isles/Flyers/Devils

Why?
Devils have no fans, when they win, it's like the proverbal tree falling in the forest.

Whereas Philly is just viciously obnoxious.

Also check out a NJ and PHI game at MSG.
You'll see more PHI fans than NJ fans even though NJ is a 2 miles away.
That says it all.
