BTW, Scott Munroe leads the AHL in GAA and is 3rd in save %age.

I wonder if this guy has any NHL potential?

I said that already. And nobody believed me when I said he was the man before the season started.

I guess scoring a hat trick in the last 1:40 + OT of a game will get you that honor some times. Congrats to him.

Where did you post the Munroe led the AHL in those two categories?

That said I will be curious to see what happens with Munroe throughout his career. Is it a possible that an undrafted goalie from the University of Alabama-Huntsville could become an NHL netminder?

He can be the backup after we ditch Niitty.

EDIT: They lost today in the School Day game to the Baby Pens, 4-1. Munroe gave up 3, empty netter for the 4th. Cabana scored a Shortie to open the game for the Phantoms.

Judging by the boxscore, it looked like a pretty boring game with a lot of penalties (Pens 1-9 on PP, Phantoms 0-6 on the PP).

If this was a Flyer game...

They lost? Oh no. The sky is falling, the sky is falling. The Phantoms suck. Fire Berube. Potulny is inconsistent. Downie is garbage......

Just a heads up for you guys, the Phantoms are going to be on the NHL Network 3 times this season. Jan 17, March 6, April 10th. All vs Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

What is going on with Lars Jonsson? He's on the Phantoms roster but I can't find any info on him playing or being injured.

Wait, didn't the Senators fans promise that Downie wouldn't survive against the Senators' AHL affiliate? I thought Yablonski, Bois, and Carkner were going to execute him at center ice?

Yablonski's garbage. Actually, he's worse than garbage. He's nothing.

Tonight, he was too busy trying to goad Grant who's recovering from a broken finger into a fight that he missed Ruzicka scoring. Yablonski was super pissed afterwards, so he took it upon himself to jump Grant in the second. Grant just started to get his gloves off when the refs got in the way. That's why he got the aggressor.

Downie scored his first AHL goal tonight at Norfolk.

However, Boucher got torn a new one in his first game back and got pulled after 18 minutes and 5 goals, and the phantoms currently trail the Admirals after 2 periods, 6-1.

Downie with roughing and fighting penalties in the last minute of the game, it appears he fought a 6'5 D-man.

That's a good question. Not sure whether silence is good or bad

Not a good outing last night against a poor Norfolk team. Boucher allows 5 goals on 10 shots before getting pulled. Munroe lets in 2 more.

At this point, for the sake of development, I'd like to see Munroe get the bulk of the starts for the rest of the season. He's certainly shown that he is capable of handling the load while Boucher was out given that he leads the league in GAA.
