Radulov has looked good (well, better than most Preds at least) playing with Erat and Legwand on the second line... along with Arny/JP the Preds have two potent scoring lines right now. Now if only they could stop letting in 7 goals a game...

For now definetly... but for a keeper I wouldn'T do it unless he was the missing piece to an almost sure win. Radulov is gonna be special very soon. I mean as soon as the Preds start giving him some ice time.

Speaking of Radulov, any pred fans think he will get more ice team now? he's a free agent in both of my leagues and im ready to pick him up since hes been doing what i thought he was capable of recently.

he's turning it on, lately, and is currently on the "1a" line with Legwand and Fiddler

He gets ice time. He had 3 points last night and has been skating in the top six for almost a month.

13 minutes with no PP time? Seems like a waste to me.

I don't think anyone disagrees with the notion that Radulov was always the player that had the most offensive potential- from day one. I also don't think that anyone here disagrees with the notion that he's also turned that potential into actuality by being the best player on the ice in many of the games in this current streak.

Given the awful numbers our power play is producing, and the above, his lack of first line power play time is indefensible.

I think the poster has a valid point.

David

He's playing with our best overall player and a gritty player who has a knack for digging and keeping the puck in the zone.

I do agree that it's headscratching why he's not getting more PP time.

Some poor deluded soul on the Habs board said :

Radulov = A. Kostitsyn

I found that truly ridiculous and would like to know the Nashville fan"s opinion on this.

Thank you

Yeah, that's totally nuts. TSN's player analysis states that Radulov is a "first line winger" and Kostitsyn is a "top 6 forward".

In my opinion, Radulov is a far better player already than Kostitsyn could ever dream of developing into...

As a Habs and Preds Fan I'm pretty sure that you won't find many Has fans to support that theory. Kots will be an excellent NHler but nowhere close to Radulov's talent... that kid is SPECIAL... the main reason why I like the Preds so much (the other being Shea Weber)

I wouldn't strecth it that much... he has a special potential and ight devellop into a lot better player... but Kotsitsin has potential to be very good as well and therefore saying that he's already a better player than Kots can dream of seems like an overstatement on the other way

uh who ever made that comparison doesn't know ANYTHING. Kostytsin is more of a passive player who has a great shot and great passing skills; thats not to say that he wont crash the net every once in a while. He is completely different from Radulov though. Radulov is an end to end highlight real player who takes high risks with the moves he makes, but they usually work, and pay off. He is more "dynamic" than than kostytsin. Rad is just one of those guys that after you watch the highlight reals, you know he is something special, and you know that very soon he will put up monster numbers.

Trotz's comments on Radulov

I noticed that Radulov has picked up his offensive game lately with 5 goals and 7 points over his last 5 games... I've also noticed that he's still only getting 13-15 minutes of ice time a game (13:05 in the tonight's game against the Oilers for example). Now I know that he's not the best player in the league in his own end, but does anyone else agree with me when I think that he should be getting closer to 18-20 minutes per game in ice time every night?

Here's Barry Trotz's latest rant on Radulov:

"Rads has a lot of ability," Predators coach Barry Trotz said. "He is a talent, but he has a long way to go to be a good player in the NHL. A good player plays both ends of the ice consistently. He has a long way to go."

My question to Preds fans is this: do you think that Barry Trotz is stiffling Radulov by not giving him enough quality minutes of ice time?

I think on alot of nights Radulov is one of our best forwards. Trotz should just turn a guy like Radulov loose, but Trotz really doesn't do that with any player. His skating aside, Radulov isn't a huge defensive liability on the ice. Regardless, he shouldn't have to worry about that really. I'm not saying he should just cherry pick on the blue line, but we shouldn't turn him into this great two way player imo. He has too pure of offensive talent for that.

7 penalty kills will hurt Radulov's icetime.

Yeah. It seemed like after he scored his second the Preds stayed on the PK.
