That is all.
There was also this guy on the team that played with Jagr during those years, you might have heard of him, his name was Mario Lemieux. Yeah, you know the guy, he's the guy that had a career nobody on his line named Rob Brown and helped him get a 115 point season, 49 of those being goals.

Lindros was definally a more complete player than Jagr. Lindros could do everything at a high level. (except keep his head up).

You cannot tell me with a straight face that Jaromir Jagr played better defense than Eric Lindros.

I don't ever remember Jagr dropping the gloves or dominating a game physically like Lindros did.

Not to mention Ron Francis, Kevin Stevens, Joey Mullen, and for the first year, Coffey and Recchi.

It was much funnier when 20,000 people whistled at Jagr every time he touched the puck. And yes, it's because of the sweet mullet. You don't whistle at someone because he's a great player.

yea, I had to a double take when I saw that one, Jagr plays a better forchecking game now than in years past, but Lindros was way better on defense, @ the very least Lindros was more responseable in his own zone.

I think the best argument against Jagr is how finnicky he is with linemates. Sometimes he'll put points up in bunches, but with other guys he quickly goes cold. With Lindros, not only did he produce with whoever he lined up with, but he made John Leclair into a very very rich man and even make Brent Fedyk look good.

There were a few years where Lindros and Jagr were rivals in the mid-90s, but by the late 90s it was clear that Jagr was the most dominant player in the league. He took over as scoring champion after Lemieux retired and proved that he didn't need Lemieux as a linemate to win the Art Ross or get his team into the playoffs.

Poster was right, because he is Jagr. Just certain people get booed by us, Crosby, Jagr, Lindros if he was still playing, Brodeur and so on.

i can tell you with a straight face that Lindros was a better all around player then Jagr. When Lindros wanted to be there was not one single player who could handle him one on one. Dont know if you can honestly say that about Jagr as great as Jagr has been.

take a look at the team he plays for. a HOF player on a team hated in Philly.
I dont know why people make such a big deal about this, some guys would think this as a form of respect.

Yes, if by "you guys" you mean "Eagles fans circa 1962" and by Santa you mean "a really drunk guy in a Santa outfit" then you have the story completely correct.

I wonder when others who arent Philly fans (who just simply joke about it and make fun of ourselves) will let this go.
Jeez it was almost 50 years ago!

And Santa is rumored to have looked almost like this...

ehh yeah I guess I did group Eagles fans and Flyers fans together when there is a big difference. But from being around these parts you don't really go "ohh he's a ____ fan". Usually the blank is just filled in with the city. I see most philly fans ( all sports ) as roudy, loud, team crazed fans who will boo any one on another team, even there own. Hell I'd do the same.
