He does not want to run and gun anymore, he wants to play the way we played in the playoffs every game, grind it out, obviously we can't bring playoff intensity to the regular season but we can play the playoff style in regular season.

That's what Paddock wants to do.
Yeah, well this is a difference in style of play. I'm all for it, and I often wondered about Murray's lack of defensive tightness. But still, it is always better to beat a team 5-1 than 2-1, assuming the same style of play. Some people have been acting as though the 2-1 result is better.

Paddock and Capt'n Alfie have done a great job with the team, and working with their "hangover". I'm not worried too much.

I never believed the Sens actually had a problem winning close games - that was a misleading statistic. If you actually looked at the stats of games where they were within a goal after two periods, their record was quite good.
Fact is they've been able hold on to slim leads very confidently. Haven't seen many late-game panic-sessions in their own end. To me, that is a very good thing.

Best cure for a hangover is a big win over the Habs. Always makes me feel good.

At the very least it'll prevent anymore threads such as this one from popping up.

Dude,

I actually did make a sacrifice at a volcano in Hawaii in Feb. Why else do you think we made it to the finals. Should have dropped something nicer in and we would have won...

From wikipedia :

Quote:
A calf (plural calves) is the young of various species of mammal. The term is most commonly used to refer to the young of cattle

I wouldn't call it a collapse, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had a stretch of 10 games where they go 3-6-1.

If this team loses more than 20 games this year they should be sold and moved to Kansas City.

Just a note... Heatley really isn't in that bad of a position right now. At the 19 game mark last year, he only had 1 more goal than he does now. He was at 10G 11A at the 19 game mark last year, now he's at 9G 15A.

So basically, Paddock doesn't want us to get any pizza this season

Although we did get it in that near collapse vs. Atlanta.
