Wow...some brutal stuff in that one. I could only imagine how much bad press would go against something like this if it happened in any major leagues over here in NA.

Actually that's from 2000... but sick nonetheless. The guy with the crimson mask at the end and a bloody shirt skating around and using his stick in a tomahawk motion was obviously angry...

Saw this some time ago.

The ref writing down the penalties: "Uh... uhm..."

The guy in the white coat is either the team doctor or the local butcher arriving for fresh meat.

In the beginning that goalie on the Blue team freaking two hand chopping the White team's players. Then by the Blue teams bench the Blue player had the white player on his back and the Blue player standing up jabbing his stick into the guy on the ground. Some of those fights it was like 2 or 3 Blue guys against 1 white guy. For something like that to happen that has to be some sh'tty busch league.

Man I remember when I first saw this. How insane. I like the guy at the end, all bloodied up, brandishing his stick at everyone. Just insane.

Is it just me, or were there only about 2-3 players from the white team that fought against almost the entire red team, while the their teammates just watched?

The players in white that were fighting were double or triple-teamed and were beaten with sticks, and yet their teammates didn't even try to help them.

Actually Solomon ("the guy with the crimson mask at the end and a bloody shirt skating around and using his stick in a tomahawk motion") played for the 'blue' team the following season.

Blue team = Steaua Bucharest
White team = Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc

Last season they had 5on5 on ice brawl, noting really serious compared to what happened in 2000. (SCMC won the championship that year.)

Now I know what game to visit when/if I travel to Romania.

Ugly brawl. What are the penaltys for droped glowes in Romania?

Horrible brawl etiquette .

Too many two and three on one fights, and stick swinging is bull. I used to get in street fights that were more civilized than that.

Are these teams from rival towns, or what?

One team is comprised of ethnic Romanians (Steaua) and the other is made up of ethnic Hungarians (Csikszerda).

That was worse than slapshot. They were whacking eachother with sticks. That video was the most messed up think I've ever seen in hockey.

Just brutal, too much stick blows and two-three vs one actions.

I don't like it, that was a rink, not a ghetto.

Or a soccer field

For a good read on the history of these two teams, albeit a condensed one, pick up Dave Bidini's "Tropic of Hockey". It's a great book for all hockey fans.

I want a Ciuc jersey!
