So every remaining game this season will be broadcasted on CSN?

Or all home games are aired and they are blacking out some away games?

Edit - well, that clears that up then. Good to have 7 games being broadcast, that's quite generous considering the schedule was already written.

Considering that Comcast SportsNet chicago is part-owned by the Blackhawks, I Think you'll be seeing FAR more games next season now that their intent is to broadcast home games.

It's impressive they were able to get 7 on the air given that the programming schedule had already been set for over a year.

I wonder what the chances are of Rocky Wirtz convincing Pat Foley to come back to the Hawks to do PBP? That'd be sweeeeet.

I'm sure you guys have read that already, but I want to add to the part that says, "He also said that they would look into lifting the ban for Hawk home games on Center ice. I donít believe that is possible, but I hope I am wrong."

The Sharks got their games that aren't covered by bay area local or national TV (about 10 mostly away games) lifted from the blackout rules just recently, so it is possible that you guys may have access to almost the entire season if you get Center Ice. Nice that one of those games is the 3/7 game against the Hawks which we both will now get to watch. I don't know if there are substantial differences between what the agreement is here and there, but let's hope that it works out for you guys.

Very slim I'm afraid. It has been confirmed on the official site that the Blackhawks are happy with their announcers for the time being. Not wanting to go off topic, but how they can be happy with Dan Kelly as the TV PBP announcer is beyond me. He drives me up the wall, and I know I'm not alone in saying that. Most of the time I listen to John Wiedeman on the radio instead, he at least comes close to Pat Foley in terms of making the game easy and exciting to follow.

The Blackhawks saying they are happy with their broadcast thing is the correct PR move. They obviously arent going to complain about them or make public they are looking for replacements 15 games into the season.

My gut feeling is the Pat will be back as soon as John Kelly's contract is over. I do not know when that is but hopefully it is soon. There were rumors two summers ago that Pat was going to Colorado to be their play by play guy but instead he stayed in Chicago to work for the Wolves. I think he stayed because Rocky told him he has a job as soon as Bill kicks the bucket.

That's very astute SJ, and you may be right. I hope you're right, I still miss Pat even if I am happy with John Wiedeman. By the way, did you mean Dan Kelly?

The additional games added to the home telecast schedule will include the final four Wednesday night home games of the season beginning with March 5th when the Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks visit the United Center. The other Wednesday night games include March 12th versus the Carolina Hurricanes, March 19th versus Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals, and April 2nd against the Central Division rival Detroit Red Wings.
