He would've been sent down because he wouldn't have learned how to backcheck(see: Ottawa, Philly, Pittsburgh).

You'll never hear a Penguins fan or anyone in the organization say a bad word about Daigle.

Shame Kehoe always stuck him with Manderville and McKenna last year when he played...he showed the talent for sure. He took being in the AHL like a man and tryed to turn his career around.

I can't say I'm suprised to see what he's accomplished this season.

Congrats Alexandre

I watched him when he first came into the NHL, and thought he was very talented. Now, he's kind of like Alexander Mogilny: very fast, great hands, and has learned to backcheck some. Amazing what happens when you do that, eh?

It's great to see him get to 20 goals again, after all the crap he has taken in the past. I guess he got his passion for the game back a little. And in Minnesota? Must be something to playing hockey in a hockey-mad place. Imagine if he was playing on a line with Gaborik! We'd see breakaways every other shift!

To be honest here, I think this has much less to do with Jacques Lemaire then people are giving him credit for.

I think that Daigle finally realized what he wants his legacy to become, and what he wants to do in life. Maturity took a while, but he has finally reached it. I've watched a few Wild games this year, and I've seen the highlights and I've seen interviews and Daigle is a man with passion right now. Something clicked inside of him, he took a look in the mirror and decided that enough was enough. It's time to become the player he knew he could be.

Obviously, the knock on Daigle was never talent related. But attitude related. He just didnt seem to care. He played without passion. Hmm'd and Haw'd. Score a goal.....whoopity dooo.

But now Daigle has taken his life into his own hands. I think that if he truly has decided he wants to be an NHL player, the sky is still the limit with Daigle. The guy is still only 27 years old!. He's just reaching the prime of his career.

While I do think Lemaire has had a hand in this, in terms of motivation and being there to give him the credit, icetime and punishment. I think Daigle has been responsible for his own destiny for the most part.
