I'm bucking tradition. This should be a lively, high-scoring affair, and it looks like I'm going to need a place to vent (Hamhuis already lost his man and goes -1).
Outshot the Leafs 21-10, but we are losing. The Preds need to grab the momentum early in the third and try and expose the poor Leafs defense/discipline.
One of the Leafs announcers [wish I knew who he was] between the 1st and 2nd periods stated that Nashville "is a false hockey market" and that the new ownership group "bought a stay of execution for three years and then we can give Nashville their flowers and give them their dignity and get them out of town to Kansas City or somewhere where they belong"........

being a Leafs fan has likely made him bitter and cynical.
I can't watch this game...how were the goals on Mason? More to be concerned about?

It was during the second intermission and I think it was Bill Watters. Regardless, I'd get banned for posting here my true opinion of them after tonight.
Well, I said at the beginning of the trip that I'd be happy with 3 points out of this trip, thrilled with 4...just didn't expect that this would be the game we'd lose. Shots 35-15, looks like Vesa stood on his head and Mase was disappointing again
Vesa surely still thinks he is playing for the Sharks. Have to tip your cap to him tonight. He put in an outstanding performance and won the game tonight for the Leafs.

Don't ******* with a winning streak !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're right SLake, it was during the second intermision.
NMK....didn't get to see the 1st two goals....somebody else will have to comment.
I did see the 3rd...bad defensive giveaway with a point shot that bounced off the defenseman [Zanon I think...he fell down on the ice like he was shot] right to an open Wade Belak sitting alone right in front of Mason....not much of a chance on that one......but Wade Belak of all people ...1st goal since 2003.....it doesn't get much more painful than that....
I have to hand it to Toskala....stood on his head with a number of great saves....out shot them 35 to 15 overall and 15-5 in the third....very easily could have been a 4-3 win if he hadn't been zoned into the puck the way it was....the Weber goal was deflected by Kaberle, or else he probably would have had that one too.....
NMK - The first goal was a wide open antropov with Mason at the other end of the net. A complete defensive lapse on Hamhuis's part who was on the opposite of his man. The second goal was a freak thigh-high puck, that was backhanded top shelf opposite corner....I wouldn't put those goals on Mason. Sometimes you get them, but a lot of times you simply do not. The Leafs got the bounces tonight. We didn't.
