Put up all you allstar coaches...

Here we go, the ultimate test:

Here are the scenarios:

St. Louis beats Nashville.
Nashville beats St. Louis.
They tie.
St. Louis beats Nashville in OT.
Nashville beats St. Louis in OT.

Now, the Oilers and Nucks are tied 2-2 with 2:00 left in OT. When do you pull the goalie (if at all)?

St. Louis beats Nashville. - don't pull him. A loss gets you nothing but a tie keeps you alive
Nashville beats St. Louis. - don't pull him. A loss gets you nothing but a tie keeps you alive
They tie.- Pull him. You need the win, loss or tie means nothing.
St. Louis beats Nashville in OT.- Pull him. You need the win, loss or tie means nothing.
Nashville beats St. Louis in OT.- Pull him. You need the win, loss or tie means nothing.

No advantage of hind-sight, those are the scenarios.

A loss in OT is still one point, same as a tie.

I say you pull the goalie w/ 2 minutes left in OT, regardless of the scenario. Even if Van scores you still get a point, so why not?

Not if you pull your goalie.

I wouldn't pull the goalie in any scenario. Just go hell for leather in OT in every scenario above, leave Conklin to fend for himself in OT.

EDIT: second thought ... maybe if STL and NSH tie ... and they go to OT with VAN ... then pull the goalie with less than a minute to go.

Apologies, I didn't realize that.

In that case, I go with DB's answers. We need to be ahead in points of at least one of those teams come the end of the year.
