right so why is nobody saying sit prucha, or get rid of him. He is the BIGGEST waste of cap space on this team.

Also we should maybe think about sending cally down to the AHL for a little to get some more seasoning in b/c he isn't producing at all either.

if avery was healthy, you could make a big case that prucha definitely should be the odd man out..

remember that thread couple weeks ago where "when straka and callahan came back, which 2 you pick to sit?"

i picked hollweg and prucha

I think the 4th line is playing fine right now so I wouldn't bench Holly. But if you want to bring up another 4th liner who can score as well (Byers i guess) i wouldn't be against it.

hopefully not. his o is finally starting to come around. he will not have the minutes in the nhl to develop it further. so unless you want to keep his skills at a level slightly above hollweegs, keep him in ahl.

and stop rushing prospects.....

What do you guys think of a Dawes + for J.Williams + swap. Both players could use the change of scenery. J. Williams...2 games, 2 goals in the NHL.

If we're trading Dawes, it's gonna be in a package for a player with NHL experience, not a prospect that is a step behind Nigel in development...

I can actually see him with Gomez... Nigel's certainly fast enough to keep up with him...

Do you really think Jagr will be back with NY?

Easier said than done

I do think that Dawes will be an improvement over Prucha right now. He's more explosive and has a better shot. He's also shown better chemistry with the players he's played with

You don't "need" him. He is a good PKer but hardly the only one. Plenty of people on the team can kill penalties. The problem is that he is simply not a top-9 forward. He simply does not have enough offensive capabilities to be there. So that moves him to the 4th line, where the current denizens are more effective than him in such a role.

So where does it leave him? The things that should make sense to do now is to have Dawes or Prucha take his spot on the 2nd line, move Dubinsky back to the third line, Drury to the second and Gomez to the first. At least until Avery returns.
