Next Up: The New Jersey Devils

Oh Boy!

Thats the Atlantic leading NJ Devils, and they are ON FIRE

1. Dismal loss to our rival?

2. The game that turns it around with an impressive W?

well he cant do it alone....the Leafs game was his worst as a Ranger.

Goaltender duel with Brodeur the way the Rangers have been playing is a bleek situation.....

....is this team just a gigantic kitty without Sean Avery?

Seems like it doesn't it? Pretty much yeah.

Look at the makeup of the team.

Jagr - Soft
Straka - Soft
Dubinsky - Got some spunk
Hossa - Kinda soft
Gomez - Soft
Shanny - Rough on occasion
Prucha - Energetic not afraid to hit, but still no one's afraid of him
Drury - Soft
Callahan - See Prucha, but a little bit rougher

So there you go, then when you have Hollweg not tossing bodies around, then you got one giant soft kitty. There's no aggression, no energy, no rough stuff on the top two lines especially.

Yeah, unfortunately, we don't have a player who is big, can hit, and can score. Someone like Ovechkin, but that's hard to come by. Heck I'd take a 20 goal a season version of Ovechkin right now.

I would loveeeeee to have this kid. I don't know what it would take to get him though. Or if it's even feasable. But I love watching him play.

I'm always up for having more Italians on the team . Go get 'em Slats!

We already have Mara, Girardi, Callahan (half).

Dawes would get a real shot to play in yoteland too. With Mueller?

Maybe Donnie would bite

Yeah and this game has all the writing's of another stinker. Think about it. It's only a 3 game losing streak. It's not like they've completely fallen apart and are due for a win. They're back home...where they've played terrible lately. The crowd is going to be looking to pounce. If they give up the first goal the crowd will be dead/angry. The Devils are on fire right now. We've dominated them this season, and law of averages, plus the rivalry aspect would lead me to believe we'll be on the short end of the stick again. Someone said what better time for a Devils game...I couldn't disagree more.

Brought Carcillo up recently, I still think we're talking Prucha at minimum if not a pick or another prospect.

Love Prucha.....but I might do that deal

It would send a real message to the locker room, and Carcillo is far from soft

You can send all the messages you want, but players just don't change their on ice tendencies for the heck of it. If they're soft, they're soft. Management took them like that, so we have to deal with it. It's not a bad thing to have a finesse player who doesn't enjoy the physical aspect of the game. It just starts to suck when you have 5-10 of them.

God damn I can't believe how soft this team is.

Well, Renny always say's that his team gets up for the Devils and I believe him. I'm not to concerned about the streak because it's going to end sooner or later, I just don't want them to lose another game to the Ranger, it's getting old already. So, forgive me if I hope for one more game, the Rangers don't come out with a good effort.

The Rangers are just soft in the top 9. Its really a concern I always have with them going into the playoffs. I think Raffi Torres is the type of guy New York should try. With all that skill in NY he is a big boy with a decent shot...may work.

I'd take anything but this as the answer. Please. It could be a close loss and I would be slightly happy if there was some action instead of... Nothing, really.

id move Prucha in a deal for Torres that is for damn sure. Id also love to snag Matt Greene. I know Oilers need defense so that wont happen. Maybe a guy like Boynton or Derek Morris. No to overpaid like Jovo, Kubina ect.
