I have an idea!

Hey, I have an idea. How about when your goalie doesn't give up a goal you actually score one and give him a shut out win...

Anyone thinks that would be a good idea?

See, as soon as I proposed this, Shanahan agreed with me. I guess I should've posted this earlier so that the Debbies wouldn't get a point.

Well, that was probably one of Lundqvist's easier shutouts. Thankfully he won't be throwing refrigerators today

5 SO for Lundqvist. i hope he beats out Leclaire soon, because not only do i want Henrik to play great and get the SO's, but I really hate seeing Leclaire's ugly mug on the NHL stat page.

Well, it was intended to be a sarcastic critique of the team's inability to score. I still say we need a good puck moving defenseman.

That game was one of the most boring games I ever watched. There was no passing by both teams, it was a giant game of dump and chase. No team could get a play set up until the end where Shanny scored. Wish you guys did that 2 minutes earlier so that the Devils hadn't gotten a point out of it.

It was an extremely boring game for the most part. But hey that's the new NHL.

I have an idea...

While a handful of people want Dubinsky off the first line, I feel aside from a couple of bad games he's been pretty solid 5 on 5... Where I think he isn't ready is on the PP, so here's my thought...

Have Straka Center the 'first' PP line with Jags and either Prucha or Callahan.

I know Renney hinted that Staal will most likely get more playing time as early as next month, so why not throw him on the struggling PP with his defense partner?

Thoughts?

Wanna hear some very surprising stats?

The Rangers are:
2nd in the NHL in PP opportunities.
15th in the NHL on the PP at home.
8th in the East and 13th in the NHL in PP Goals scored.

You would think the Rangers shoudl be at the bottom of every PP stat there is the way they perform on it.

With the exception of a few teams, everyone sucks on the power play. I say we just let it roll and hopefully the guys on the PP will get it.

As far as Staal goes, Renney has mentioned that he wil lincrease his time after the new year - I would assume that means some PP time. I think his great quick, low and accurate wrist shot should help the PP.

One other idea I forgot to mention... Tallying up PPGs this season, approximately twice as many goals have come from the Gomez line, so why WOULDN'T we put that line out to start every Powerplay?
