Yeah! I think we may see him in Milwaukee by the end of the season. He is having a fantastic year in the WHL.....

I am a Giants fan and I can tell you that Jonathan Blum is the real deal, he has really matured this year. Whenever I go to games, I always see him on the ice, every situation.

He has also physically matured a bit, put on some pounds, filled out in the off-season.

The following statement has no bearing on how good of a prospect I believe Jonathan Blum to be--he seems to be another Cody Franson-esque prospect, with maybe more highend offensive ability--

but to this day, I'm baffled by the pick, and watching our forwards struggle when the 2 or 3 go to guys we have go cold rubs it in even further.

At least Santorelli and O'Reilly look promising, down in Milwaukee

I'm not upset with the pick. I'm upset at the continued unwillingness of Poile to acquire a forward using one of our defensive prospects.

Or a forward that will be here for more than 20 games, anyway. (Peter Forsberg anyone?).

I like Blum, but to me he doesn't play two-way hockey effectively enough to translate well to the next level. I've seen him caught up ice after getting involved on offence in every single Giants game I've been to. He just refuses to dog it back to the Giants' end of the rink. That may be because coach Hay leans on him hard, but I see him being a bit of a Sandis Ozolinsh-style d-man eventually. I hope he proves me wrong, because I love seeing ex-Giants succeed, but that's what I've seen from him over the last couple years.
