Yeah, but we still managed to give up 3 straight third period goals. Unbelievable...

we pulled a Tennessee Titans vs San Diego Chargers ... this is getting repetitive and absurd ... I'm starting to think it is time to Fire Trotz

haha, the wheels are off. i don't even have anything else to say.

If anyone on this team could finish consistently we win that game.

And 5 of the last 6.

very discouraging to blow this lead. We need a trade to shake this team up. Roster freeze is tomorrow. Probably too late for now...

What a waste of a perfectly good GDT! I know mine aren't on the Irisheyes level, but I do enjoy making them and was hoping for at least 2-3!

Oh I'm sorry, what did I quote about the game?

Right:
Quote:
The Predators struggles seem to be rooted in their lack of production in the final period of regulation. In the last six games, Nashville has been outscored by an 8-3 margin in the third period. In the 16 games prior, the Preds dominated the third, winning the frame by a combined 28-12 score.
Again, the third period we blow it.

Wait, we had a 2 goal lead, were playing well with new lines and in the 3rd period we went back to the lines from the last 3 games? Any surprise we blew it and lost?!

What a familiar story. Again we lose it in the last 2 minutes of the game. Just like the last time we played the Wild!

Damn Zidlicky clear your ****ing man from in front of Ellis!

I know that supposedly the calls even out over the season, but when are they going to start going our way? AGAIN we have a goal waved off because of a quick whistle. MEANWHILE, Gaborik is able to whack Ellis in the nuts 3 times before the ref decides to blow the whistle. If our goal counts then at worst we go to OT and get a point. In Detroit we should have had a goal and we walk out with 2 points and Det. gets none. Against Colorado at worst it's tied 2-2 and we're in OT with a point. That's at least 3-5 points we've lost because of quick whistles.

Just when I thought Dumont, Arnott were off the **** list. They go back on because we lost.

This is stupid. We are now in 14th place officially! Everyone was worrying about where Florida would end up so we could get a higher pick. Please, we'll be the ones picking with the top 5 pick!

We go down and put like 5 shots on net and the rebounds go out to the corners. The other teams' players take the puck come down on ONE rush and put ONE shot on net and it ****ing goes in!

How is it that we hit posts, get shots blocked or the puck goes to the corner while other teams get shots to go right through about 6 guys in front of the net straigt into the goal?

Nice shot by Suter, see you don't need to wind up like a damn windmill. Nice tip by Arnott. And that was a nice backhand (gasp, someone actually knows how to shoot a backhand shot) goal by Dumont.

I'm on the play Klein bandwagon. He can't do worse than some out there. And if Koistinen is only getting 5-10 shifts a game why can't they try Klein with those same shifts. Seriously, if they're looking to package him now would be a great time to showcase him during this roster freeze. (Though I don't want him traded, he just looks so mean and evil.)

I hate playing the Wild, we always find a goofy way to lose them, no matter what kind of lead we get

Pete Weber called this "as devastating a regular season loss" as he can ever remember us having.

some Christmas wishes:

1) fire Trotz and clean house -- this is long overdue.... need I say more? I believe there are several ex-coaches available that couldn't possible do any worse than a "shake up" would allow.

2) Sit or trade Zidlicky immediately! Play Klein (or Koistinen) in his place for 3 - 4 games...

3) acquire a veteran playmaker & power play specialist, but don't give up either of our 2008 1st rounders.

4) do NOT select a defenseman, goalie, or a defensive forward with either of our 2008 1st rounders!

5) several 5 - 7 game winning streaks starting NOW! otherwise, we will be buried in our conference.

6) a healthy, rejuvenated Sullivan. He's good for at least 1 hat trick upon his return! I doubt he ever laces 'em up again, though.

7) multi-year extensions for Weber and Erat without breaking the bank...

I fully expect new ownership to instruct Poile to clean house for the start of next year.

The purse strings will loosen somewhat to sign the building blocks.
Instead of losing FA's 1 or 2 contributers will come in this offseason

and youth has to be served. Year after year of drafting defensive prospects get Zidlicky out and let the kids take over. Its not like this team has been playing exceptional D in their own end anyway

I'm not up on the draft prospects this year other than Stamkos (I'm guessing Tavares is still ineligible). That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see us take a defenseman if he is the best player available. You simply cannot draft for need in the NHL, and a surplus, other than at the goaltending position, are perfectly fine. To be quite honest with you, I like that we stick to our guns and draft defensemen at times. Look at how many we have that are legitimate prospects. Then take a look at our forwards..and goalies.....Our scouting staff have good eyes on defense, not so much on offense or in goal.

Now, if you have equal grades between a forward and a defensemen, YOU HAVE to take the forward at this point.

----

I agree with Pete. This is easily one of the most devastating losses we have suffered in the regular season.
