To get back to the original theme of this thread:

I want a cleanly played, cleanly officiated series. That said I loathe the Habs and want to see the Bruins crush, destroy and annihilate Les Habitantes :bonk:

What about Red Deer? I was born there and still live nearby.

Anyway, this Hab fan is quite aware that the Bruins are a fine team with many strengths and the best team will win this series. Right now Boston is the better team. Will Boston remain the better team ten days from now?

They'll have to play the Habs to find out.

Then again, two years ago, you finish first overall and we finish 8th... tell me who won again???

I don't think that the Habs will necesseraly win, but i do beleive that they have better than just a chance to win.

Hoping for a great series.

Question: Do any of you Bruins posters (Johnny V not included) spend all of you time trolling the Habs board?

I thought so you have better things to do.
i thought they did have their own board...i guess like in high school, everyone wants to hang with the "cool kids"...
myself? i have nothing to say on their board, and have no interest in going there. i'm here to talk with my fellow bruins fans, and that's that. here's hoping that they don't infiltrate our game day thread, b/c that would be sacrilege

i was looking at the stats between both teams and they are pretty darn close, this is definitely not going to be a cakewalk.

Go B's! and go Hab's! just not as far (even i have now used the stupid banana)

No Cakewalks!

By the way, what is a cakewalk? Beats me!

As a diehards Habs fan, I want to say that I've enjoyed the dialog with the Bruins fans on the board and appreciate the respect.

A transplanted Vermonter, I live in the SF Bay Area now. I love the Red Sox and took my 10-year old son to all the local games against the A's in the playoffs. In game 7, we were sitting behind the plate (clutching our rosaries, naturally) when Lowe struck out I-forget-his-name to end the game. Despite the euphoria, I was a little concerned for my son should the mood have turned ugly. But we did not hear one unkind word from the A's fans (not the same demographics as Raider fans, by the way). In fact, several Oakland faithful congratulated us on the Sox win and wished us well against the Yanks.

It was an opportunity to remind my son that it takes a lot more class to be gracious in defeat.

Anyway, here's wishing for a great series. I will be sorely disappointed if the Bruins win, but I will tip my hat to Boston and wish them well. (Until they meet my second-favorite team, the Sharks, in the final!)

I am pleased what the Habs have accomplished this year and look forward to continued improvement under Gainey. As well as a renewed rivalry with our "bitter" foes, the Bruins!

Montreal Canadiens = Puke!!!

The Habs...

May their bus break down on the way to the rink

Their food be rotten when they take their pre-game meal

Their gear be wet and cold when they suit up

Their warm-up pucks be hot and their goalie cold for the series

I could never stand the team. They are presented as a dynasty to the world, they only fail to mention that they had a monopoly on players for the vast portion of those "championships". I cant stand Mike McPhee, Petr Svoboda, Chris Chelios, Mats Naslund, the French-Canadien Mobster, Koivu, or any of the other pukes that are currently playing for the MC. It is a deep and abiding anger that emerges everytime the Bruins play the Habs or even when I see a freakin' highlite on ESPN.

Bottom line, Kyle McLaren's hit was legal and made all the more glorious by the fact that it was a Montreal Canadien caught with his knogin down and chin up. Yea thats a little harsh, but its the Canadiens for the love of Pete.

Go B's, win the Cup

BK

Now that the rules for trolling during the playoffs has been posted, this thread (and any others that currently contain lots of smack-talking, trolling behaviour) is closed.
