Well, the Kings lost last night in Columbus by a 2-1 score...it was their sixth consecutive loss and they are struggling to score goals right now. Sound familiar? Preds have lost five straight...by rule...someone has to win tonight. Hopefully, it is the Predators.

You know what sucks about that game...the BJ's scored a goal exactly like Bonk or Radulov did that was waived off due to a quick whistle.
In one replay you can see Koharski skating towards the net with his whistle going towards his mouth, then the BJ player comes in and jams his stick between the Kings goalie's pad and shoves the puck into the net after the goalie had it covered, then Koharski points to the goal. There is no way he could have seen it or that it was loose or else he wouldn't have been about to blow his whistle.
And to think we had a goal waived off because the official had "intended" to blow his whistle.
---
Both teams are going to be pissy, maybe there will be some fights.

The difference is that the initial call on the ice by the referee was "goal", whereas in both Predator cases, the initial call was "no goal".

I think that it's safe to say that if we lose this game, the discussion shifts totally to the draft\offseason targets.

Nashville wins this game.
There is no way the Kings let you guys lose and get a leg up on us in the Stamkos derby.

The next four games are critical to this year....LAK, CBJ, CHI, CBJ.
I predict we win 3 out of the next 4.
If we don't win at least two, I don't think Poile will have any choice but to make a coaching change [as much as he probably doesn't want to do so].

Tonight's game is truly a watershed moment.
If the player's come out with a lackadaisical effort tonight....they are, in fact, voting with their skates for a coaching change.
If they come out and play a relentless game, they are showing that they still have some degree of faith in this coaching staff and know that it is up to them in the room to change their fortunes, much as they did after the 0-6 streak earlier this year.

Yeah, but they will both be
defensemen (with poor attitudes, ruined by our coaching staff)

I stop short of calling a squeak-out win over the Kings "huge," at least until I see it pulls us off the downward plunge.
Good crowd tonight, though. A little quiet for such a big crowd, but it was a fun night.

Oh, also...saw David Poile on the 300 level concourse in between the 2nd and 3rd. Didn't say anything, though.

I have seen quite a few execs up there, most notably Pierre Lacroix a few years back.
