Scoring Lines??

Any idea what they'll look like? I know there has been some experimentation.
I still believe JR belongs with Gags and Zhammy.
This is how i'd do it.

Gagné Zhamnov Roenick
Leclair Handzus Recchi
Kapanen Primeau Amonte
Radivojevic Sharp Brash

I think Lapointe is a spark plug, but sparks way too many stupid penalties, and i'd rather have Somik in then Brash, but obviously we need some muscle in the lineup.
Has anything been solidified for game 1?

I think the first 3 lines are correct, but from reading some of Hitch's quotes, I think that the 4th line will be:

Somik Lapointe Brashear

If he isn't going to play Joni, he isn't going to play Sharp and Radio, at least in game 1.

I would go

Roenick - Zhamnov - Amonte
LeClair - Handzus - Recchi
Gagne - Primeau - Kapanen
Brashear - Lapointe - Somik

I'd like to keep Gagne on the scoring line, but I want the Primeau line back together and matched-up against the Gomez/Elias line.

Initially that was my thought, but i didn't want to get flamed after Gagné's success in the last months of the season. I just think he is better on the third line than Amonte would be. And is there anything more potent then a Roenick Zhamnov and Amonte line?

Eeek, no flaming, but I think Gagne would be better on the first line than Amonte could ever be.

Gagne - Zhamnov - Roenick
LeClair - Handzus - Recchi
Kapanen - Primeau - Amonte
Brashear - Lapointe - Radivojevic

So many combos though

I wouldn't be suprised to see Roenick and Recchi back together sometime durring the playoffs.

Gagne-Zhamnov-Roenick >> Roenick-Zhamnov-Amonte

but

Gagne-Primeau-Kapanen >>>> Kapanen-Primeau-Amonte

Why do we need Brash playing. Muscle to match what. His rep. could draw some costly penalties. What about Somik, Lapointe, and Branko as a 4th line ???????

Brash does get some phantom calls against him but he is the one guy on our team who can chage the emotion of the game with a big hit. He is not the most skilled guy around but he is excellent on the forecheck.

Here would be my lines, start flaming boys you ain't gona like them.

LeClair-Roenick-Rex
Gags-Zhamnov-Amonte
Kaps-Primeau-ZUS/Lappy
Brash-ZUS/Lappy-Radio

Just that if we use JR, Prims, Zhamy, & Zus down the middle we will have tons of mismatches.

I love the idea of...

Gagne-Zhamnov-Amonte
Roenick-Primeau-Kapanen

Obviously the top line is a constant scoring threat, but what the hell do you do with the third line? check it? try to score against it? Amonte should never leave the top line to play with Primeau. He is just never going to be a tenacious back checker.

But I think what will actually happen is that for home games, when we get the last change, we might see Gagne back on the checking line to neutralize the EGG line, or wherever Elias winds up.

We need Brashear playing as he will be very effective against the smaller New Jersey defense on the forecheck.
