I was worried because the NP.com front page only says Radio.

dig a little deeper into the preview page on NP.com and you will see:

TV Information
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Local Home:
FSN-S,CSN-CH (HD)

of course the home team is the hawks, but FSN-S is our TV and CSN(Comcast Sports Net is theirs).

also isn't boxing day a canadian(british) thing? since no teams from the great white north were involved.......don't really expect people to list US holidays when no teams from south of the border are involved(the leafs and sens GDT on presidents day).

that's what I was confused about, I dont know why they listed our tv coverage under home team.

According to Hawkster on the Chicago board:

"Havlat, Bolland and Eager are now officially on the IR - That takes the number of players on IR up to 7..

Blunden and St.Pierre have been called up."

Erat expected to be back in the lineup, Weber doubtful, Ellis to start.

http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs....82/1002/SPORTS

Hopefully, Hopp has the lines wrong in her article. She said that Tootoo remained on the top line with Arnott and Dumont in the morning skate, but that Erat was skating with Fiddler and Radulov this morning. Where did Legwand go? Is he or Bonk playing on the wing or did Jessica simply screw up? I'm guessing the latter personally.

So we have two terrible defensive coverage letdowns in front of Ellis by Zidlicky and Zanon and Trotz pulls Ellis. Nice.

Deja vu! Two breakdowns, two goals, this time at least on three shots, and BANG...goalie change!!!

Chicago is out battling us...they are out hustling and out-hitting us. They are an opportunistic team that creates solid scoring opportunities off of turnovers they create through their teamwork and hustle.

Gotta kill off this penalty and get back on the right track. As I said last week...the next goal will really determine whether or not we have a game tonight. Also, as I recall myself saying last week...let's get a fight or two going. Right now the Hawks are taking far too many liberties with our players. Hordichuk is not in the lineup, but we still have some guys that can represent. Time to get dirty.

After I saw Nichol get hit hard I thought about your post earlier which mentioned the need to dress Hordichuk. I really thought Nichol was about to do something stupid...

I did too. It looked like he was about to go back at Byfuglien when he realized that the ref had the call and Nichol only then held up. I thought for sure he was about to drill Byfuglien from behind into the boards.

Better period overall, but unable to solve Khabibulin. Bonk with a couple of great chances created off the rush. The PP looks afraid to shoot from anywhere except the points, where the shots either aren't getting through or are high and wide. Seabrook with three point-blank shots at Mason while shorthanded.

Overall, we look like we are playing decent hockey, but are still failing to play soundly in either end of the rink. Gotta play consistent defense and good things will happen at the other end.

Preds playing with 5 defensemen since the first period when Ryan Suter suffered a leg injury. If he is unable to go tomorrow and Weber cannot return to the lineup, might we see Kevin Klein get an opportunity???

Hamhuis and Zidlicky both get caught giving up the blueline and not closing the gap and the puck winds up in the back of our net. Nice traffic to the front by Toews on that play kept Mason deep in his crease.

Tootoo with a breakaway, nice move, Khabibulin with the save.

Nice play by Legwand to get that over to Zidlicky while holding off a man in front. 3-2 with just under 7 to go.

Lang with a nice faceoff win at one end of the ice, finds open space in the faceoff cirle at the other end and again the puck finds him for the quick one-timer and again we're down by two, 4-2 Hawks with 3 to go.

I'm too lazy to dig it up, but Lang always scores against us, so it seems.

The Predators simply got outworked and out classed. The Blackhawks were not only taking advantage of any opportunity, but also punishing the Predators physically. The Predators had no answer for either. Whenever we did push, the Blackhawks goaltending was good.

We suck, we have no goaltending and our defense backs into the net, never plays the body.

Kane with the empty-netter after stealing the bouncing puck from Hamhuis. Khabibulin with a great game for Chicago makes the score look more lopsided than the game actually was. Preds lose again 5-2 in Chicago.

Had a feeling that Tootoo was going to go when I saw him out there at the end. Wisnewski cross-checked him in the final second and that's all it took. Clearly Wisnewski got the upper hand in the fight, but it was also he that was carried off injured at the end. Can only assume that he stepped on something, maybe a stick, looked like a leg injury.

Preds played about 38 minutes tonight. Can't do that in Chicago and come away with a win in this league. Gotta play a full 60 minutes. At least we get a quick turnaround and play tomorrow night in front of our home crowd. Crispy said there were 4200 remaining for tomorrow night, so grab a couple of friends and head on down to the Sommet Center!

Mason played very well tonight in relief. He allowed two goals on two point-blank shots where the defense broke down just like they did on the two goals against Ellis. Mase made several key stops throughout this game, most point-blank shots, that kept the team within a goal, but he simply wasn't rewarded for his effort. Just as Ellis took the loss last week in relief, Mason takes the loss tonight.

Mason should get the start tomorrow night.

Gee maybe by default they'll actually be forced to play Klein tomorrow.

Hope Suter isn't hurt too bad. Did anyone see where/how he got hurt?
