I know everyone (Including myself) is wicked pumped up for these playoffs, but I'm still wondering about this CBA, and I have a few questions: First of all, what's the likelihood of there actually being an NHL next year? If there will be one, how much will it be cut down? And finally, how will the B's be affected by all this?
Just a few things that have been in the back of my mind.
There will be a lockout imo but the key negotiation will probably take place the Monday after Thanksgiving...they'll try in earnest to get a deal in place so starting in January they can get back playing.....and salvage a season. Few key points why it will get done
The top players over 30 will put pressure on the union; other leagues have blueprints already in place for the NHL to use; the Broons will no doubt lose players and see a significant drop in payroll (this roster would cost $60 mil to bring back next year) but in the end the Broons are young and talented; they should barring injuries and bad luck be a top team for the forseeable future.
