Maybe we can help each other out with regards to playoff player pools. What is the word on injuries that are affecting guys are your particular teams, and who are the guys that could be less than 100%. Also who could be the surprise playoff performer (point wise) on your team.

So Darz . . . couldn't do a hostile take-over of any other threads so you decided to start your own, did you?

In response to your post, the Blues situation is that the team is intact as far as players that were with them most of the season. MacInnis and Jackman are still listed as "indefinite" but are assumed to be gone for the rest of the season (although all my hopes are for a healthy return for both). "Stone Cold" Steve McLaren is suffering from facial injuries and is also out indefinitely but it's extremely rare to see a one-dimensional player such as McLaren play in the playoffs (guess his style of play from his nickname).

Both Eric Boguniecki and Mark Rycroft are listed as questionable for game 1 tonight, and Alex Khavanov is expected to miss tonight. This probably means nothing for poolies because it should almost be a lock that no one picked any of these players. The only player that the Blues would miss would be Rycroft, and only as a 4th line contributor. Boguniecki has been a shadow of what he was last year and Khavanov is just too much of a defensive liability to put on during the playoffs.

Surprise point producers for St. Louis could be Petr Cajanek and Dallas Drake. Dallas Drake has playoff warrior written all over him and Petr Cajanek, at least at the end of the regular season, was centring a Tkahcuk-Demitra combo on even strength.

My guess is that Blake and Tanguay are not 100% for Colorado (though Tanguay had a goal last night). Some people may be picking up JM Liles late in their playoff pools. He left last night's game in the 3rd period with an undisclosed injury. Doesn't sound too serious, but something to be aware of for you poolies.

Bryan Allen is out for the Canucks, no word yet on his return. It's a shoulder injury, although currently being classified as "upper body injury", but nothing specific.

Surprise scorers would include Cooke(heck, he's on the first line) and Martin Rucinsky(streak scorer, just bumped a slump). Look for Brent Sopel to continue his good work from the regular season(led the Canucks D in scoring).
