They're more likely to replace a not-broken stick...

And if they won't take it, break it in half and bring it back the next day.

well if they have the stick and flex you want in store they will probly just swap sticks it would be alot faster to do that then wait for a new one.

I dont think the store will let you return it? but most OPS companys will make you send in the whole stick with recipt of purchase and theywill look it over and see if the break in the stick was caused by play or if someone broke it on purpose to get a new and i think it takes like a month for all this to happen and you have to pay for shipping.

companies dont just throw away the broken stick and give you another one. they can tell if you break it on purpose and they wont send you another one. deal with it and youll know better next time you buy a stick

If you cut the stick, I dont see them taking it back. You could always sell it back to them.

If more people were honest like you maybe we wouldn't have to spend 100+ on a decent stick...

If you haven't taped it up or used it, then you can probably bring it back. But if it's seen any use at all, then no, you can't return it for another stick. The companies do look the sticks over to see how it broke and they've seen enough of them to know how a stick normally breaks.

Also where the break is it. a friend of mine from highschool snapped his synergy at the top some how and sent it in and they said it was not in a spot where the stick tends to break he was pissed.

if there wasnt a warranty you wouldnt be spending nearly as much on decent sticks.
hence the reason pro stock sticks are cheaper than retail. that and the fact that they were designed to that players specific preferences

Whoever is in charge of returns at the retailer will ultimately determine whether your stick would be returned or not. Obviously you won't get credited for the stick if the seller doesn't. If it's used then I'm quite sure they won't return it unless it's broken from a deemed defect within 30 days. Bauer makes you send everything back yourself directly nowadays but they're the only company that I know of who does this. My advice would be to wrap a towel around the kick point and use the laws of physics.
