This Series is going 7....

Well folks okay... we've read the threads, we all saw last nights game, talk with our friends, looked at the stars, read our horoscopes etc etc etc... We all knew that this series would be a tough one -YET enjoyable and obviously full of great hockey action, and even though its been dubbed a David and Goliath affair, with both teams it really is that hard to call... I looked up the last couple of years matchups with the bruins and this is how we've done.... Yes i know its playoff time and the games are soooo much different in regards to the regular season, but in the last few years its been so tight to call... I just think that with all this in mind we might be looking at a long series...

Here are all the results.

2001-2002 Playoffs

Habs 5 - 2 Bruins
Habs 4 - 6 Bruins
Habs 5 - 3 Bruins
Habs 2 - 5 Bruins
Habs 2 - 1 Bruins
Habs 2 - 1 Bruins

2002-2003 Regular Season

Habs 2 - 4 Bruins
Habs 4 - 2 Bruins
Habs 4 - 2 Bruins
Habs 3 - 6 Bruins
Habs 3 - 1 Bruins

2003-2004 Regular Season

Habs 3 - 2 Bruins
Habs 1 - 0 Bruins
Habs 1 - 1 Bruins
Habs 0 - 2 Bruins
Habs 0 - 1 Bruins
Habs 2 - 3 Bruins

2003-2004 Playoffs

Habs 0 - 3 Bruins

Now i'm not normally one for stats, when it comes to predicting a game.. all i'm trying to say is that too be honest because of our rivalry we're probably looking at a long series... Though as we witnessed last night.. the best team on the night will we... Lets hope Friday we're the best team!!!!

Go : Go

I Believe......

Well said. People were predicting a long series before it started, so it was sure we would lose some games. It seems that habs fans have forgotten that playoffs are like a roller-coaster. So it's no time to panic or throw in the towel (dishrag, for McPhee), this is just getting good. One thing for sure : habs have to win at least one in Boston, so friday's game is looking like a "must-win", or close to it at least.

Go Habs Go

Yup.
Time to regroup. A win Friday and it's a brand new series. I don't think we will see the same team we saw last night on Friday!

Agreed. The rookies nerves will no longer be present Friday night. They now know what to expect.

If we get a split, im more than happy, because we have played very well at home this season.

A MUST WIN FRIDAY!

I also agree that this serie is going in 7, and for Montreal of course

Also, I can't understand Habs 'fans' that are all-out fans when Montreal wins and all-out against when they happen to lose...

Damn, when you're a fan, you're a fan right, in victory and in defeat ?

Strange to say, but they really need us, our moral support. They're supposed professionals (sp?), have awesome salaries just to 'play', but something that some may tend to forget is that they're humans also. If we cheer for 'em, and not boo 'em like a stupid bunch of morons, they'll probably play harder for us.

I'm a believer. GO HABS GO !

As a Bruins fan I hate to say it, but I think you are correct.........I think we'll see a much better Habs team on Friday.............from my perspective, I hope the Bruins will be ready...or it could easily be tied up at one game apiece.

Ya, come on guys.
All the Habs fans who started saying the team SUCKS after the game one loss aren't true fans!
All we need is a win tonight and suddenly it's a best of 5 series and WE have home ice advantage! Even with a loss, Boston will have won their two at home, so we just have to win our two at home, and it's a best of three series!
