Sorry, I forgot that the holiday freeze does not apply to callups. In that case, I want Brass up here as soon as he's healthy.

I suspect they'll bring him up late January just to take a look at him and see how far he has progressed. And perhaps to keep him properly motivated. I don't think they can tell just how far based solely on his play for the Crunch. Whether he stays up, well, that's another question.

Hitchcock said on his Dec 26 radio show that they probably would have brought him up very soon had he not been injured. That he was nearly ready, and that when they finally do bring him up, it will be for good, not for a trial.

When Brass will play good, one will play in January. And if he will play good in Columbus too, I think that some centers will be trade.

I voted Februrary, because I think they give him at least that long to get back into shape and let the jaw continue to heal.

Plus, though maybe not mathematically eliminated yet, I think we will be virtually out of the play-off race by then. Unless things really gel, and we get key guys back.

Then I think Brassard comes up and plays on the #1 line and excells to the point that management kicks themselves in the ass for not bringing him up sooner.

Did you look at the standings before you posted this?

We're tied for 9th in the conference, three points out of a playoff spot, and only seven behind fourth in the West.

We are very much still in the mix, and we are missing half of our forwards! Health and Brassard will be our deadline deals.

next season.... I don't care how many points he puts up in the "A" give him a full pro season their first.

If we are on the cusp of the playoffs, I doubt he can come right into the lineup and provide the point-a-night-spark we need for a first line center right away.
