Its nice to know Fleury is choking for Cape Breton in their first playoff series this year. Cape Breton is down 3 - 1 and Fleury's GAA is 3.3 or something around that number. Houle may even start the next game.

Lehtonen dominates NHL, Fleury cracks in the Q.

IMO, it's not a case of Fleury choking.. it's a case of him not rising up to the way a #1 pick overall should play in big games. He's played good, but not VERY GOOD like he should.

Oh, and last night's winning goal (with 2 minutes left) on him was scored from behind the net. Fleury also got a penalty with 5 minutes left in the game.

As long as Fleury gets at least mediocre defense I vote fleury-He'll be the guy that makes the Flyers fans mad

What do you call what Fleury did in his first 10 games of the season?

He played well, just like Boucher didn't allow a goal in 5 games. All goaltenders get hot.

But not Lehtonen, right?

Fleury didn't play well, he dominated. His GAA was under 2, for the PENGUINS.

I wonder if anyone still takes your opinion seriously.

he didn't just play well. i didn't know just how good he was until i saw him play for the first month. he won rookie of the month in october, and it's hard to put into words just how bad the penguins were at the beginning of the year.

i know both will be great, but to say kari lehtonen dominates the nhl after 4 games is retarded. 3 of his 4 games were against bottomfeeders. the win against tampa was good, but fleury beat detroit as well.

MA Fleury by miles. Fleury is a franchise goalie for the Pens. The Trashers already have Heatley and Kovalchuk as their cornerstones for the future. It's up to Kari himself, the pressure is on Fleury to play up to expectations.

Um, since they have comparable ability, wouldn't that mean it's probably easier for Lehtonen to realize his potential without the massive amount of pressure?
