That was hands down the worst broadcast of anygame ive ever heard, they had Dwayne Roloson and some other tool on there, so lame and dull.
Dale Arnold and Gord Kluzak arent the greatest on NESN for B's home games, but those 2 zombies last nite made them look like a million dollar duo.

I caught it for about 2 minutes, then switched to the Center Ice feed that had the CBC broadcast. After those 2 minutes, I can understand what you mean though........seemed like the lead announcer was thrown in there last minute cuz he didn't seem to know what was going on.

Who did the Play-by-Play? I saw a recap on ESPN News and the two broadcasters did a summary but I didn't recognize the Play-by-Play man.

By the way, who is JP Dellacamera, the guy who did the Flyers game tonight?

Give them a break. For one the game was fairly boring until halfway through the third period and I doubt the two of them had worked together before. I was happy to be able to see game 2 of the series after missing game one because ESPN didn't carry it.

I know that JP Dellacamera calls the Champions League Games too for ESPN International.

The guy doing the play-by-play was Joe Beninati, who does the play-by-play for the Caps. He really knows his hockey and I think he does a pretty good job

Agreed, I thought Joe Beninati did a fine job. Roloson on the other hand was brutal. I understand that it's probably his first time doing a broadcast, but man...why start the guy out on a national audience?

On the contrary, listening to most NHL broadcasters on Center Ice, I would put Dellacamera only behind Mike Emerick and Bob Miller. JP Dellacamera is one of the best out there, I didn't hear the broadcast though, maybe Roloson was bringing him down.

Egads! They must have been horrible if they make Arnold/Kluzak and Wittman/Healey sound good

Yes, Roloson was so awful, I HAD to switch to the other feed, and unlike most of the whiners around here, the ESPN feeds don't really bother me for the most part. I only get annoyed when they get players names wrong constantly.

He was probably nervous, but like you say, his first game shouldn't have been a national feed!! Give him a radio gig somewhere for a while. The crews must have been spread thin with so many games to cover.

Yeah it was exceptionally bad...but being a color commentator myself doing local games, I do sympathize for him a little bit - I just did my first game this year!

Just to clarify, DellaCamera was paired with former Rangers' GM Neil Smith for the Flyers-Devils Game 2 broadcast. That is the first time I heard DellaCamera and I enjoyed his very easy going approach. It beat listening to some of the broadcasters who put the game second (Steve Levy comes to mind). Roloson was with Benianti (sp.) for the Bruins-Habs game; I did not hear their broadcast.
