MN area off-season training needed... HELP!

My son took 5 years off and now, at 17 he's back on the ice playing JV (he's the captain, though).

He'll make the Varsity team next year because most this years team graduates, so here's the problem:

He needs Varsity style drills and coaching this summer, not pointless games with no coaching.
His positioning, skating, awareness, all not so good. He's also too big for his legs, speed and stamina.

So if anyone has had good experiences with summer training, please respond with links, numbers, names, details... you know. Tell me where to look!

Thanks!

Paul

Dont know if Bloomington is close to you but PUCKMASTERS provides outstanding on and off ice training at very reasonable cost.

I went to minnesota hockey camps several years ago and it was one of the best times I have ever had, and it also made me a much better hockey player. Not only is it two practices a day, but there is conditioning and classroom talks. Your coachs evaluate you and tell how you can improve your son's game.

I am a senior now at my school and the captain, and since I was a freshman, I've been going to PuckMasters, and it has worked great. There are all sorts of drills, and the best thing about it, is that there are Private 1-on-1 lessons. And that teacher will work with your son's specific needs. Most PuckMasters facilities have a workout area as well. As a freshman, I've been 2nd line defense, and as a sophomore on, I've been 1st line defense, 1st line PP, and 1st line PK. My shot has really improved a lot since going to PuckMasters as well.

Anyone know if there's something similar in Montreal/Canada?
