Dimitri Kalinin.
He established himself as a #1D-man on this team and played an even more significant role when Zhitnik went down to injury.

Whenever I see Tallinder and Jillson on the ice, I close my eyes and pray...

Tough call between Hecht and Kalinin. I went with Hecht because everyone knew Kalinin was going to be great, it was just a question of when.

Before this year,I thought Tallinder...not Kalinin would be our future franchise defenseman.Kalinin played great.I also somewhat expected Hecht to score at the pace he did.Last year he was scoring at a pretty good pace too.

You and me both regarding Tallinder. He's so hard to judge because when he's on he can look like Norstrom and when he isn't he looks like Mike Wilson. I'm no longer convinced he's going to reach his top end potential of slick two-way defenseman mainly because he has some sort of phobia about the offensive zone. Frankly that's not much of a problem with me regarding defenseman. Certainly this'll be a make or break year for him.

You can't say that them two were worse than when Campbell and Delmore were on the ice though.

Right now I think his defensive game is *OK*.It could be a lot better though, but he isn't that bad.He could also improve in that facet of the game.I also think though that his offensive game is just putrid. He can't shoot, set up a play or anything like that.I don't think it's a make or break year just yet though. His def. game does need to improve but I am not expecting him to improve offensively,as their are other d-man that will play the point.(Jillson,Campbell,Kalinin,Zhitnik if he re-signs,any forwards)
