How are the Rangers 6th on CBS? They drop us 2 after going 2-2 during a road trip?

I like TSNs comments for this week: "The resurgence of Joffrey Lupul seems to have hit a wall, as he's put up no goals and two assists in the last 11 games."

Maybe Lupul reads TSN?

THN HATES the Flyers. The only mention of the Flyers in their new issue that DOESN'T include an aside about their suspensions is a criticism of the Richards contract. Not kidding.

Wherever I was pulling the daily scores from, I think it was NHL.com, kept changing their HTML around every once in a while so I kept having to adjust my script. I didn't bother this last time because the time it was taking to calculate the rankings really started taking a long time. Maybe I could simplify the formula to remove opponents' opponents' winning %. It ends up being a huge number of games at this point.

Also, I updated the other ones from today a few posts up.

If you don't want to bother, that's fine. They were interesting to see of course, so I was curious, but just compiling the other ones is also pretty interesting to see.

WOW. sports illustarted.....WOW

Im sorry...but if you go and have a loss and OTL in the last 10 games...how can you be ranked 14th? FALLING from 11th??????

SI has no idea what they are talking about. And quite frankly...I think we should be ranked above the pens, just for the fact taht we make them our B*tch everytime we play them....

And Ottawa wil lbe going down as well. The wings are just lucky they dont plays us.

I agree with a 6 or 7, MAYBE 8, but anything further, is just plain stupid

Philadelphia Flyers (23-15-5)
Not only are they playing well, they finally have Simon Gagne back in the lineup. But watch the possible goalie controversy. Antero Niittymaki is the hot hand, starting four of the last five. Marty Biron gave up four goals Sunday in his first start since Jan. 4. If I had to guess, I'd say Philly goes with Biron down the stretch.
Last Week: 3-0-1
wow hes wrong... Nitty's playing tomarrow lol

EDIT: Think he means in the end?

I pulled down the scores but I had to change the formula because this last time it had run for 10 minutes and died. It's now 40% your winning% + 60% your opponents' winning%. Overtime losses count as a loss. The home/away adjustment is still in effect where a home win counts as .6 and loss as 1.4 and the reverse on the road. I know it seems like a lot but it affects the numbers less than you would think. I'll update my last 2 weeks. I can give the full numbers if anyone wants to see.

Looks good. I find your rankings interesting since they're mathematical and not subjective like espn and some of the others. I'd probably like to see all the numbers at some point but I don't have nearly enough time to check them out now that my semester started again.

True, but I like to see more than one. Since they tend to be close to each other, it lends credit to their legitimacy.

Maybe I should change mine again to account for a team's record of the past 5-10 games or so kind of like HB.
