just updated the list for the first time this season.
- alex sulzer is now playing in the AHL, therefore he isn't on that list anymore
- i added the four german draftees of 07
- i deleted all the non-drafted players.
there no list for the next draft, so i have no clue who could be a possible candidate. if you know of some available players and you think they should be on that list, feel free to comment. it would really be helpful.
if there are any interesting overagers tearing up the DEL or any other league, same as above.
i'm not really following the DEL, since i'm just a fan of a 2nd-tier team.
Here are the Germans who are on the European list:
*= overager
#41 Jerome Flaake
#44 Daniel Weiss
#45 Sören Sturm
#50 Toni Ritter
#53 Marko Nowak
#61 Benedikt Brueckner
#66 Sinan Akdag
#86 Patrick Geiger
#122 Philipp Riefers
#150 Andre Huebscher*
#163 Steven Rupprich*
goalies:
#15 Maximilian Engelbrecht
The other countries must have a much better talent-crop this season , I can't see any other reason why Flaake and Sturm are that low compared to Reul last season.
That being said, I'm surprised about the number of Germans in the top 100.
Can anyone tell me how Philipp Gogulla spells his first name? Kolne Haie website has him listed as Philip, but almost every German poster told me my prior avatar with that spelling was incorrect, so have changed it to double p. Is it possible he spells it differently to the norm such as someone called Matt calling themselves Mat? Or have the website listed him incorrectly?

it's philip! the official website is correct. i checked some german newspapers and they always write philip.
it's a horrible name since you can write him philip, philipp, phillip, phillipp.
but for gogulla, philip seems to be the correct spelling!

i don't see flaake and sturm as top-talent. this year's crop is good, especially very deep, but it lacks top-talent.
but it's just midterm, a long can change. i hope some can make some noise. german youth hockey is really improving.
i will make some research about them and update the stats later today. and i should update it weekly from now on. if i don't, push me around please.
- deleted lewandowski, mueller and hospelt.
- added the 12 guys ranked by CSS in their mid-term ranking
- added stats of the U20 world championships division 1A
- added notes about dietrich and schauer
still sort of impossible to find the PIM stats of the oberliga and save percentage stats of any german league besides the DEL.
