I would love to see the Islanders take a chance on him this summer, but we are such tightwads that it wll never happen.

Future line of Nilsson-Yashin-Kovalev...Yum

He played well Friday. I expect him to finally have a great game tonight in Game 3, with Koivu and Zednik. I may be wrong, but i have this feeling...

Sorry Montreal fans, but as a Pens fan I hope he sucks for you guys. Just because I want to see you not resign him and have him come home to the Burgh.

Good call.

So, what do you feel tomorrow's lottery numbers will be?

It'd be great for the NHL to have Kovalev back in the burgh. He's one of those guys who is a fan favorite no matter where he is playing. He just has to be playing GOOD. It seems the only place he can do that is here.

Oh, and it'd be good for Pittsburgh too. =)

A guy who is yet to even prove he is NHL-worthy, and two enigmatic, albeit highly skilled players, neither of whom can be counted on for a consistent effort nightly.

Not so yummy, IMO.

2 goals and 1 assist in 3 games. He got 3 points on the Habs' 4 goals.

He's the half of our offense

He was really flying on the ice.
After his first goal, people at the Bell started chanting his name and you could see it made him work even harder and skate even faster. Then he scored his second goal of the game on a great wrist shot. It was all about getting his confidence back IMO. I know it's a cliche but it's true.

Wow.

What shot that was

and after the two goals, you see him wanting the puck and doing some nice plays.
He made a saucer pass to Zednik who couldn't handle the puck..it could of been another goal for the habs and another point for Kovalev...Let's hope he also starts turning it up in the PowerPlay so we can win lots of games.
