Danielle Goyette Retires

Didn't know where quite to put this, NHL didn't feel right.

Women ice hockey Pioneer and longtime Team Canada stalwart Danielle Goyette retired today at age 41, according to RDS.

She won 7 world championships, 2 olympic gold medals, and has had over 200 points in international competition. She first won gold in 1992. She was the flag bearer of Canada at the Opening Ceremonies of the Turin olympics.

Here we have a contender to be the first female player inducted in the HOF.
