Sometimes you gotta give credit where credit is due. The ducks are GOOD. Man, they're overall team D and goaltending is top notch. Just not fair to have Pronger,Nieds,Schneider,Beachumen, and an underrated pair in Huskins and O Donnell back on the bleuline. Simply not fair. I thought the boys played very well. Well enough to win for sure. The ducks just simply would not give us any room and the aforementioned D handled our forechecking pressure VERY well.
it seems like our smaller forwards got worked over in this game by the bigger dcorp of the Ducks ... I think maybe 1 or 2 shots were serious scoring chances ... I think Poile needs to have a philosophical shift for our team to ever get out of the first round

We didn't mail that game in. We actually outplayed them throughout much of the game.
We just don't have the talent to finish. If someone shuts down the Arnott\Dumont\Rads line....who else is there? Legwand, maybe...but not playing with Fiddler and Nichol. They closed down our top line through much of the game, and the rest were just flailing along. It wasn't for lack of effort.
Yeah its hard to fault the effort. We usually out shoot every team we play... We just don't have enough scorers. Guigere was pretty good too. We're just not on the Ducks level is all.
I think the game exposed the Predators lack of talent. The difference in level of talent between the two teams was very evident from the goalie out. I really think the boys are working, they just don't have the skill to finish.
Good game guys, I really thought the preds took real nice advantage of Pronger being injured and out for most of the game. They had really good pressure in the offensive zone for a lot of the game.

Pronger's absence let us play a more Predators style of game, but Giguere really played a good game. The rebounds that were there, we did not pounce on....which is why we lost IMO.

Perry sure made up for his slashing/stupid penalties by absolutely torching Hamhuis (although if Hamhuis actually made a line for the post instead of falling down on his face)

Agree with that.
Plus on the PP we waited too long to take the shot and allowed Giguere to get over and make the save. When Arnott was at his spot he was ready for the one timer and got the goal. He didn't have to stop it and then wind up for a big slapshot, he was ready.
But Giguere made some big saves for sure to get the win.
