former russians and the hall of fame

why are only 2 players from those great teams inducted. ive always been interested in those teams as you hear stories of their domination. i know most of those players never played in the nhl but isnt the hockey hall of fame about great players and not just the nhl? tretiak and kharlamov are the only 2 in the hhof but what about any of the others were they worthy of induction or even the former coach Viktor Tikhonov?

I actually think the entire team should be in the hall of fame. I mean, they were the best team in the world for a very long time. Why shouldn't that be recognized?

The KLM-line should be inducted with the Dmen; Vladimir Krutov, Igor Larionov, Sergej Makarov, Vyacheslav Fetisov and Alexey Kasatonov.

And besides Valery Kharlamov and Vladislav Tretiak the other great names of that era includes Alexander Maltsev, Boris Mikhailov and Vladimir Petrov.

And look at the statistics for the two most famous coaches from those days, WOW;
COACH GP W L T WP
Victor TIKHONOV 413 338 44 31 0.855
Arkady CHERNYSHEV 294 240 37 17 0.845

I remember watching the the Canada Cups in the 80s and the games played between CCCP and Canada where an absolute war. I truely miss those hockey days.

/Cheers...
