Wow, 10-1.

Good thing we weren't on the receiving end of that beat down.

there are rumors floating around that the Rangers may be in the mix for Hossa.

kinda ot but this reminded me of it. apparently its going to take 1 or 2 current roster players, a high prospect, and a first rounder to get him.

imho, thats a price i would be willing to pay. Hossa is an elite player, and would fit perfectly into our particular system since he plays 2-way hockey.

Dupuis must not have been in the lineup. The only possible explanation for such a rout.

I would take Hossa in a second for that.

Where'd the rumors come from though?

It's as cliche as it gets, but the bounces were certainly going our way tonight. The first Stafford goal, the third Stafford goal, and I think it was the 2nd Roy goal that were all rather lucky.

we will most certainly take it. And not to be lost in all of this is Tobias Enstrom. Talk about a ****ing stud. Kid still ends up +1, I still don't know how that's possible.

Probably Prucha, Dubinsky, #1, Sanguinetti - assuming Hossa signs a contract in NY would you people do that? It's certainly gutting the team of it's third line and probable second line next season BUT we get another elite forward to replace Jagr and who would probably look sick with Gomez.

I wouldn't want to move Sanguinetti personally, but maybe they take Baranka or Sauer instead? I'm not really a proposal guy, but I'd imagine Atlanta would be interested in a solid defenseman and someone to replace a bit of the scoring void left by Hossa. Prucha is capable of scoring some (not a Hossa level obviously) and is certainly coming around.

You're looking at Staal or Sanguinetti the other way. No way around it if you want someone like Hossa

Yeah, I'm quite jealous of all these young offensive defenseman that came out of nowhere and are putting up points like there's no tomorrow. Mike Greene is another one from Washington

Green is really good. He's (IMO) a bit rawer defensively than Enstrom is, but you'd be foolish to not see the incredibly endlessly immense potential in either of them.

I'd still put Staal ahead of them, though, present and future. Talk about well-rounded studs... you've got yourselves one there.

We'd have to extend Hossa for me to want to give up a lot for him.

I'd stay away from Hossa until he proves he can produce in the playoffs...

50 goal, 100 point regular seasons mean squat when you can't get it done in the big games.

Green is awesome...wish the Rangers had him. He's a great goal scorer and plays solid D as well. Basically what I hope Sanguinetti can become.

As for Hossa, I think I'd pass on him at that price. Just don't quite think he's worth it for an impending UFA with no guarantees that he'll sign for anything that doesn't kill the cap

They sure help you get to the playoffs though, and I don't see any of our prospects putting up any numbers like that.

Well said, Lev. Besides, I really doubt either Dubinsky or Sanguinetti are going anywhere.
