Decent period apart from that awful bounce. Hope it doesnt affect Henrik's focus like it has in some of the recent games.

And preferably not take a penalty 20 seconds in.

That would aid in our attempt to win, yes.

Well, I cannot fault Mara for the goal. I understand if it was a brain fart and he did something stupid. But he was just coming across trying to defend and **** happened.
Now let's see what the Rangers do to make up for that bit of bad luck. Can they recover and come back?
I think so. They looked OK the first period. They just need to step it up a bit.
AND get some damn goals from that first line. I am not worried about the defense or the goalie.
I thiink we need to be more aggressive going forward and put more pressure on Boston as they come out of their zone.
That's it....that will do it...follow my suggestions in it will result in victory

Agreed, Avery's been playing like a little *****cat as well. Straka's never been a standout force shift to shift.

Factor in Jagr's fall and we've got a bunch of old pieces whose play is deteriorating naturally and a bunch of young pieces whose play has not yet ripened. Bad combination IMO.

Screw Drury, Gomez is playing, acting, and talking like a captain.

This may not be the team we expected, but **** we gotta make the best of what we got.

Ha ha, there's about as much enthusiasm in that commercial as there would be at a pet rock convention.

But no, it's the guy in the hippo suit who's driving me crazy. Just put the suit on already and get it over with. I don't think the hippos even care.

Good post.
But maybe Avery is playing "light" in order to stay out of the box?
So far so good in that regard (except for the 1st 20 seconds, ugh).

I just don't see all the "life" Avery brings. At least not game in and game out anymore. He's as inconsistent as the Rangers.

He had a good game against the Sabres...

Can't blame him entirely, he's got a 40 year old winger who couldn't skate for his life anymore, and a not-so-good ES player in Drury.

Drury doesn't look like anything. I swear I see Prucha when I watch Drury. Small, weak on the puck, unable to generate much of anything.

Too much money for him. Intangibles? Yea right

He's never been a good ES player.

Special teams specialist and team leader. Obviously faceoffs as well.

Jesus Christ... the obligatory "we can't make a proper line change" or "we can't receive a simple pass"... let's follow it with the obligatory "let's make it a 5 on 3 for 2 minutes."

Avery should no go away from his style of play. He should just go at it game in, game out. You find your level of play and stay with it.

And then....damn it....a bad penalty....another bit of bad luck.....dammmit all.
