Nice thread, except your Games Played column is wrong.
You guys are lucky, you get to watch in HD, while those of us that can't make it to the game have to watch on AZTV, the fuzziest channel on the planet.
I know we've went through troubled periods of not being able to score, but we are 4th in the conference in goals scored. We are sixth in goals allowed. That means we should be fifth overall
Wow....Mason giving up an ultra softie to cost us the game in OT....
A slap shot redirected through the five-hole off the stick of Hamhuis I wouldn't call a softie. Weber got caught up ice on the rush leading to the 2 v 1 heading back into our end. Had Weber been back or had a forward covered for Shea and been in position, then Hamhuis would have played the shooting lane and most likely the whole situation would have been adverted. But with the odd-man rush scenario, Hamhuis had to play the passing lane and when he read shot, he attempted to block the shooting lane with his stick, but wound up redirecting the puck between Mason's legs.

I'm not buying it. At some point you have to be able to take a 60 foot slapper and make the save. The redirection was minor and a huge distance from the goal....not to mention it was unscreened. Mason just whiffed, and he whiffed badly.
I'm not crying Chicken Little/Sky is Falling, etc. However, that was a poor goal to give up.... deflection or not.

what he said....
not too mention we were dominating the 3rd and OT just ot have that be a game winner?????
Who cares about the OT goal. It should have never even got to OT if not for that flukey goal 51 seconds after Radulov scores.
I just thought most of our defense played badly tonight. Especially Zidlicky, he looked like he was just standing around half the game.
And half hearted clearing efforts by some guys lead to sustained pressure by the Coyotes and once to a goal. Although on that one Zanon was checked down (hard to see if it was a crosscheck or not but could have been interference) by the eventual goal scorer.
Well we got a point... Its hard to blame it on one goal, but it was frustrating we were dominating them to that point and with 30 second left we got beat on that shot.
I know theres a lot of blame to go around. I blame Trotzy for breaking his own rule lol. Ellis should have started, he's playing favorites and gave us bad mojo

Yeah, I'm not sure what the deal is here. Trotz benched Mason in a potential Mason vs. Vokoun matchup earlier this year for the shutout rule.....when Mason publicly said he wanted to play the game bad. I'm surprised Trotz would break a long-standing policy of his...

I think the Tennessean mentioned that maybe Trotz was concerned that not playing Mason would give Mason almost a week off between games. According to the story, Ellis didn't object and was going to suggest that Mase play. I'm not sure it would have made a difference.

My thoughts exactly--the Mason homers elsewhere try to explain Mason's "whiff" away with---well we got 7 points out of the last 4 games---no problem.
IMO---no goalie should get beat 10 feet inside the blueline by an unscreened 5 hole shot----ever.
Anyway we move on-I hope that later this season the Preds don't need that 1 point "at the end of the day" to get into the POs.
