1994 game 7

I am watching the game right now on MSG

anyone else notice how many penalties that went uncalled that would have been called today?

That was hockey - what we watch now is closer to the ice-capades

Oh god, different game all together.

But yes, its ridiculous. Kinda like a Jagr shift though, when nothings called - somehow he is still playing in the 90's when he has the puck but in 2008 when someone else does and he reaches out.

I've had MSG on in my office since 11am, when they showed game 7 against the Debbies.

totally agree. at least they got rid of the 2 line pass, i hated that rule. they must get rid of the instigator rule and full penalties should be served no matter how many pp goals are scored.

I wish they would have had a more interesting selection of big Leetch games rather than the ones they've shown 100 times in the last 14 years.

Yes, but he played the best hockey of his career during those 1994 playoffs. That spring solidified his "hero" status among Rangers fans.

Hey Craig McTavish, you got a lot of hair on your head
But if you lose your balance, you might just end up dead.

But if you wear a helmet
you will beeeeeeeeeeee fine.

Funny to see how the goalies were back then.
Richter looks so rediculously small in the net with the equipment on, compared to todays goalies.

Let me guess, you're one of the ones who yells SHOOT when the pucks at the point right?

Back then you could take a slapper form the point and not have 4 bodies in front of it before it gets to the net. Those days are gone.

Sorry if it's only me but does anyone else here get an urge to start crying when watching the end of this game? I have tears in my eyes and I get the chills everytime I watch this...

Yes, but MSG overplays the Devils and Canucks game 7s. I'd rather see like Leetch's first game or something like that, even if it's a Rangers in 60 version than games I know by heart already.

It's called Hudson Bay Rules.

The refs put the whistles away as they don't want to dictate the outcome of the game. The only thing that would be called if blood was spilled. Seriously.

This is the way Game 7's of Cup finals should be called.
