I hate to say it, but the clear nominee in January is Chris Higgins.

Labatt Cup January Winner

This is the Poll version. The winner will be decided by voting. I suggested to OP to open a poll but he's offline so please merge the other thread with this one. Thanks

EDIT: A player named in the poll doesn't necessary mean that I hate him and I think he payed bad this month. It's just to give people as most options as possible. i.e.: don't shoot me because Huet is here, I know he doesn't deserve this cup...

Ryder for me...without a doubt. I'm pissed off because his play has turned him in to a player with little to no value. This totaly handcuffs Gainey and will probably force him to trade someone less expendable if we want to get anything in return. If we lose a prospect or player we like....Ryder's play will be one of the reasons.

Saku or Higgins. Apart from yesterday, they've been performing well below expectations for them. Plus our regular whipping boys (Brisebois, Smolinski) were all injured, so yeah, my vote goes for Saku.

Flame away!

i can't vote... but i'd pick dandenault not because of his on-ice performance but because of his crying when he got benched.

THIS IS NOT THE LABATT NORDIC CUP POLL FOR JANUARY. The cup is sitting in my drawer. Come on, don't steal my thing.

aw c'mon I didn't steal your idea. All the credit goes to you and since you didn't make a poll in your thread I decided to make one and asked to merge your thread with this one.

I don't care about credit, I just don't want there to end up being five different polls every month by the end of the season.

Also, the fact that Huet would be in the poll is kind of a travesty.

I thought about voting for Brisebois, but now that he no longer plays I am happy with him. Therefore my vote had to go to Ryder, who is still useless, despite all the chances given to him (samsonov much?). Further, after last night I could not vote for Higgins, Koivu or Smolinski.

Komisarek, for being a pansy and hiding behind a ref when Lucic, Thornton, and Reich all wanted to fight him.

I hope I don't really need this, but you never know around here...

He doesn't deserve to be there. But he's the only goalie that played in January, so I just put him in case someone very pessimistic would vote for him. I don't know, if Gainey#1 is hanging around, he'd feel comfortable voting. It's also to provoke Huet the poster

Voted for the captain.

-6, too much penalties and didn't produce enough.

Some guys didn't have a stellar month, but I would be disrespecting past winners of the Nordic Cup by having to nominate a player that didn't play like a complete vagine. I'll take a pass this month.

Even Ryder out produced Higgins this month. People voting for Brisebois should be disqualified. He played OK in 3 games and was otherwise harmless.

...and why is Streit up there?

I voted Higgins, my expectations where high on him but as of late he as disappointed me. I almost voted Brisbois but then i thought of how he can help the kids in the dressing room. I think that even if he does not play much a guy with a cup is always good to have around for a young team.

It's got to be Koivu. Too many dumb penalties and he didn't make up for them by only getting 6 points in 10 games with a lot of ice time.
