Red wings numbered retired

In lets say 10 years, whose numbers will hang from the rafters in the Joe Louis arena?

And yes, I did a typo in the thread. It should be numbers not numbered Swedish, dooohhhh.....

/Cheers...

6-16 remain out of circulation.

No for 14, 24, 91.

If any long past player sees a jersey retired, best guess would be Black Jack.

The only one I see is 5 (Lidstrom) right now.

If Osgood stays another 5 years and wins a couple more Cups, maybe 30.

That's it for current/recently departed players. No 91, no 14, not even 24 (unless he really DOES play until he's 50!). You need to play the bulk of your career in a city at a high level to be considered for this honor. Fedorov has been gone for 5 years now, Shanny played for 4 other teams, and even Chelios is on team number 3, although he's been in Detroit longer than Montreal, and closing in on Chicago.
