i thought we'd be out of the playoffs for most of the year and do our usual push for the 8 in the last two weeks.

Hopefully That scenario doesn't partially come true later on and we can cruise in.

15. Boston

Though any team can make the playoffs this year in the east. IMO the only teams that can't make the playoffs in the league are Phoenix and Columbus.

There's no way we'll stay in the 4th, a major downslide will come soon enough... We'll be lucky to finish anything higher than 7th.
WTH? How can you be so sure? If there is one thing this team showed is character and bouncing back from losses. I know 33 games are left but at least base your facts on this year's team and not the previous seasons.

Excatly like a lot of people were predicting that Montreal will collapse and hit a franchise new low this season with 54 points accumulated.Montreal will be
a bottom feeder and Toronto will finish with 15 points ahead of Montreal.

And during Montreal's hot October and november, people (Leafs/Bruins/Canes fans mostly )were saying that the Habs were playing over their heads and will come back and fall bigtime as expected.

I said between 4th and 6th in the EC. I still don't think they'll finish worse than 6th. Possibly higher than 4th.

I said 5-6th... I can't actually remember (can't use the search engine right now), but I remember I placed them 5th last year and thought about not getting my hopes too high this time around.....

OT: Yesterday, CBC's HNIC had their mid-season analysis and when mentionning the most surprising team, no mention of the Habs, yet many of those 'experts' actually placed the Habs out of the playoffs. Is it because they aren't surprised, but always apply their wishful thinking at the start of the season.

At the begining of the season, I had them predicted to finish at 7th only because I thought a few players like A. Kost, Higgins, and Pleks would break out.
Now im putting them to finish at 6th.

I'd be fine as long as we don't play Ottawa or New Jersey in the first round of the playoffs.
