Hip nerve pinch???

Don't know whether anyone else gets this sometimes, but I find occasionally if I've skated really hard, and/or done lower limb gym exercises, I get what feels like a nerve being pinched in my hips. Its not muscle soreness. When I take a step, it feels like a nerve pinch and i have to gingerly take the step. Usually a day or two's rest and all is then back to normal.

Anyone have an idea of what this is? Or experience the same.

I have had this problem for a while. I had an MRI done and they could not tell what was going on. The pain comes out of no where for me. I could get up from the dinner table and it will happen. Can not even put weight on that leg for a minute.

Sounds like a hip flexor. Make sure you stretch it before skating or working out. I had to go to physical therapy and all they did was stretch it and work on strengthening and stretching my hamstrings.

The stretch is pretty easy. One foot on the floor, bend you knee and bring the other knee to the floor. Now, drive your hips forward...make sure you keep you back straight.
