Tootoo resigned For 2 more years

Quote:
The Nashville Predators and winger Jordin Tootoo have agreed on a contract extension.

Sources tell TSN it's a two-year deal worth just under $1 million a season.

good deal.....
I like the improvement Toots has made in his game this year. And when needed they can still call on him for the rough stuff.

I guess that means we have at least 2 more years of those annoying plastic Tootoo whistles? Does anyone else hate those things?

Good deal by Poile.

I thought that Tootoo actually had a good chance of getting an offer sheet this offseason... Get an offer sheet for 1.6 million a year, and the compensation isn't that much.

Good for Nashville. Though I find some of his antics questionable at times, a player like him is good for any team! If Scott Nichol is with the team for next, I bow down to that line.

I can just imagine a line of Tootoo-Nichol-Hordichuk!

I don't watch many games on TV now because of other concerns, so I don't know if this is a line or not!

It's a good deal for us.

Now Poile better get to signing Weber before the Phanuef numbers come out.

I laugh when I look at this title, like,

"Tootoo is resigned to play for the Preds for two more years"

I think he may have actually turned the corner this year. He was on pace for a 20 goal year....Lets hope he keeps that pace up on his return to the lineup.

Tootoo has been great this year. He was very, very effective. Not only did he throw the occasional hit, but he was a strong forechecker and came up with some huge goals. He was exactly the type of energy player we needed without stupid penalties. Lets hope he picks it up when he gets back from injury.

This off-season, Tootoo could've accepted an offer sheet for 1.2 million, and the only compensation would've been a 3rd rd pick.

The could've offered him up to 2.3 million, for compensation of a 2nd rd pick.

I could've seen many teams willing to give Tootoo 1.5 million and give up a 2nd rounder. I don't know if they would've been willing 2 give 22 2.22 million and a 2nd.

Good deal by Poile. Need watch out for an offer sheet like above on Klein. Maybe should consider giving offer sheets in the above range to a guy like Fitchie or Pavelski.

I have a whistle. I don't use it, but I have one.

Be prepared on Saturday....Tootoo's birthday....you know they will put that up on the megatron somewhere.

I like the signing. He's finally getting it all together and hopefully he can come back and continue his good year.
