pairing him with fors would make sense. lihagen is always a good choice. the 1st line will stay intact.

i think niskanen will be on the 1st line. maybe with wagstrom or sjoberg. and tselios should end up on 3rd.
They ran Skåre in Karlstad... next game will be a good indicator of what they are made of, and if they will move forward as a team or become the regular ÖHK in the post season, a bunch of disinterested money pinchers, playing to secure a contract elsewhere as soon as golf season hits.

It's about Mika Rontti, who shares an agent with Tuomas Nissinen. He is currently without contract, and says that if he wants to play in Mestis, he can choose any team he wants. And that he doesn't rule out Örebro Vipers.
Looking at the interviews with Niskanen and Peltola, makes me think that Örebro has the right two guys there. Not two guys coming for another paycheque. They seemed very honest about wanting to take the team up to Allsvenskan. I think they see it as a good challenge, easy to set their personal and team goals.
Both are also experienced team players, and not divas.

The interviews were painful though. Poor guys. The questions were so awkward and idiotic that they completely lost their train of thought and had to search for the words to come up with anything that even resembled a coherent answer. I felt bad for them.

Why is it that there is such a great amount of Finnish talent who are coming over to Sweden at this point? Are the Finnish clubs trimming their payroll if it doesn't look like they will compete for the play-offs (doesn't make any sense but all I could think of)? Do you know?

As you point out, Peltola and Niskanen probably don't give a rat's as long as their team mates respect them. I just think the Örebro media should recognize and appreciate the caliber of players ÖHK just landed and be a little bit more respectful.

That's exactly what's going on. We have this great thing called "closed league" so no one is in danger to go down to Mestis (1st tier league). So, all the teams who've already lost their chances to go to the playoffs are now getting rid of their expensive star-players or players who are not in their future plans. Only good thing about this is that the youngsters are getting more icetime and are more ready when next season starts. But we'll see what happens next season, as they are now opening the league and this new "playout" -system means that all the teams not going to the playoffs are in danger of going down to Mestis.

As a finn living in sweden, what more bothers me with swedes using the word finne is the context and the tone in which they usually say it. When it's about something positive and so, I don't really care. In those cases it's a sibling love thing, that swedes hate to love (but do so in some cases anyway) when finns do something good.
